Apprehension is stronger than any other feeling Felix and Hyunjin could feel at this current minute. sitting in the therapy chair made Felix feel as though he'd throw up right there and then and watching Felix in that chair as Chan attached the thin PICC line to Felix's arm Hyunjin felt like fainting, why were they so nervous? this was something Hyunjin has been pining for ever since he's gotten to know Felix's condition, to get him treated and help him be fine then what was this fear lurking in the back of his mind and this anxiety lingering in the front of his head? taking in a deep breath and exhaling Hyunjin meets eyes with Felix who is staring at him with a glisten in his own brown ones, with a furrow to his brows and a bite to his lips. considering Felix's expressions Hyunjin can tell very well just how terrified the brunette is and it kills him inside 

Yet, even if Hyunjin knew Felix was fighting demons far too strong for his weakened mental state he still didn't know just how deep it went, the pain of knowing that there was a chance this won't work out and he will waste his last days rotting away in a hospital bed surrounded by white and the very scent of medicine he despises so much. this was an ultimate fear of the brunette, he'd much rather have a limited time than lose his remaining time with needles attached to every vein of his'

he was all too scared of the fact that if he were to die in the next 20 days it will be much more likely be here rather than in the comfort of his home and Hyunjin's arms and he doesn't know how to ease away that fear. it was happening, he was getting treated, he had twenty days to live according to the time Chan gave him and he doesn't know what is to become of him, will he die or will he not? he knows deep in his bones that he feels alright, the symptoms that have haunted him ever since he's had this disease rush through him were nowhere near as strong as they used to be, he barely feels them anymore

And so, that was a good sign, right? then why can't he just accept it and believe that he'll heal and live a happy life with Hyunjin? That he'll live til the day he has the courage to tell Hyunjin just how much he loves him.

 "Alright, Hyunjin, it's time we go" Chan turns to the raven head with a short smile tugging tightly on his lips. Hyunjin who was standing with his arms closed and lips in a thin line was bewildered "What? Why? Who'll take care of Felix then?" he questions as if he is the one treating the brunette "I presume as his doctor it is my job to do that"

Chan chuckles lowly but it doesn't help with the tension "Hyunnie, you can't be with me during the treatment" Felix's voice is groggy and he's visibly tired and Hyunjin can't find it in him to fight with the freckled male, he sighs deeply when his eyes fall over to Felix before he looks up at Chan once again "okay, I'll go" he finally agrees and Chan's smile deepens as he turns to walk away from the room but is soon halted in his movement "can I have a kiss at least?" the boy suddenly turned around and questioned with the most innocent expressions possible

his eyebrows raised and eyes glimmeringly doe, and who was Chan to resist such an adorable request "S-sure" he chuckles through his awkwardness and looks over Felix teasingly who is just sitting there with his lips apart and eyes looking between the two males present in the room as Hyunjin walks closer to him, cupping his face and pressing a sweet kiss on his forehead. it catches him off guard of course and his heart is drumming but he instantly feels calm and peace falls upon him. the brunette closes his eyes and forgets the fact that they're publicly displaying affection and putting poor Chan in a very awkward position who looks around the room as if he'd turn to stone if he looked at the two boys

"You're gonna be fine, okay darling?"

Hyunjin whispers so very gently when he parts his lips from Felix's forehead who smiles back at him and nods "Thank you for being here, Hyunjinnie" he whispers back, sweetly and sincerely and it makes Hyunjin chuckle lightly before he stands straight and is ready to walk away but a hand grabbing his wrist stops him from doing so. he turns his head to look at Felix whose got his eyebrows knitted and bottom lip slightly nibbled, almost as if he was asking for something "what's wrong, dear" Hyunjin quests, voice hushed because he knows Felix appreciates it that way
