Felix's hands stopped grazing the petals he had his fingers against as his heart fell deep into his stomach, everything stops when he looks up at Hyunjin with surprise in his eyes. 'If he agrees...? To be his bride?' Felix's thoughts are loud and rapid as they run through his mind like a track runner, leaving him blank and nearly breathless but the chuckles from Hyunjin brings him out of his trance "I was just joking, my love" he assures the brunette who looks as though he has seen a ghost. Finally, after seconds, the words of Hyunjin sink in and Felix registers them, breaking out into a light chuckle himself, one that is awkward and forced. "Oh" he mumbles diverting his gaze back to flowers as he has now lowered them

Hyunjin could almost feel his heart shatter at Felix's reaction but he's put up a facade with his cheery demeanor, Is the thought of belonging to Hyunjin so revolting? He clears his throat and rubs his palms flat against his knees, licking his lips as he looks away as well, trying to ease his heart before he speaks. Should he say it? He is weighing his choices but decides to remain silent. Sure, he can ask Felix if the thought of being married to him sounds like such a bad idea but he doesn't want to ruin the mood and make everything gloomy like he usually does so he bites down his words. He could joke about it, yes, but is it really worth it? To question Felix something so trivial when further important things exist. He sighs deeply, not knowing how to keep the paddling boat of their conversation after his thoughts of a bloody mist have halted it

Seconds later, Felix is the one initiating conversation as he speaks up, settling the bouquet down and turning his body entirely toward Hyunjin. "Have you been taking care of yourself?" Felix questions and his voice brings Hyunjin's attention back to himself as he turns his head and looks at the brunette and nods "Yes. Yes, I have" he smiles gently and Felix returns the smile "Have you?" It's like they're in their stranger phase again, It feels bizarre to be conversing like old friends who haven't caught up with one another but nothing felt uncomfortable, just out of the place, like a puzzle piece that fits in shape but not in vision. "Of course, I have" Felix isn't too sure why he's chuckling but he is and Hyunjin is smiling wide now, his teeth visible and it makes butterflies spread all across Felix's stomach

Once again, they are silent but neither of them mind it. Even though it had been a while since they last talked there wasn't much they were saying. Still, it didn't weigh heavy against their conscience, didn't even graze across it. The wind is howling outside and their attention slips to it, looking out of the little window and listening to the sounds of nature, amidst it Felix speaks up again "Hyunjin...I want to tell you something" When Felix utters those words Hyunjin turns his head to look at him, eyebrows raised and eyes sparkling with curiosity "I can understand that it'd be difficult, perhaps nearly impossible but...could you make it to me on Tuesday?" Hyunjin remains silent, trying to understand what Felix has just said. 'Tuesday?' He thinks to himself and then realizes what is on Tuesday, two days, that's when his deadline ends, supposedly.

He sighed, licking his lips as he looked down at Felix's hands which were situated in the brunette's lap, Suppressing the need to hold them he looked back up again and began talking "It's not going to happen" Felix saw this coming, this assurance. He knew Hyunjin would try and help soothe away his worries but it wouldn't work and before he could articulate that Hyunjin had already started talking again "But I'll do it, I'll be here. Your new doctor told me that the countdown was irrelevant and inaccurate now but it's valid for you to be scared" Hyunjin is trying so hard to hold back his hands from touching Felix, he's already been reckless enough despite the doctor's warning and it's not that Hyunjin is scared of Felix or his disease, he couldn't have cared less about it, it's just that if he gets remotely sick who will take care of Felix?

The brunette looks up smiling at Hyunjin, gently and lovingly "Thank you"
