"stop laughing It's not funny! It actually hurts" whined Felix, while the black-haired boy was busy throwing a laughter show, "I hate you" Felix threw a tantrum, as a joke of course "I'm sorry, I don't know it's just too funny" Hyunjin answered hearing Felix sigh out loud "My cat scratching me and then running out of the house is funny to you?" it was stupid, in all honesty. but for some reason, Hyunjin just had to laugh off his ass on that silly subject

"yes!" He replied as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, their conversation went on but what the tall boy wasn't aware of was the eyes watching him. sit in his room and laugh

The echoes of his laughter had sneaked outside of his room and his mother who was passing by was lucky enough to hear them, so she decided to sneak a peek to answer her ringing questions 'was this my son's laugh?' she hadn't seen Hyunjin even barely smile ever since his father died. so now that she had the heavenly sight right in front of her eyes she still found it hard to believe

tears began to brim at the corner of her eyes, her heart blossomed at the sight of Hyunjin laughing so brightly. a wide grin spread out on his handsome face the laugh that was so intoxicating and magical that it filled her soul with serenity, and her heart with content

the son who she hasn't seen even speak in joy ever since she married this man was now smiling ever so beautiful, and she couldn't wait to know the reason that was causing this beauty to be on display. she waited for a few minutes letting her heart slow down and her tears dry away before she knocked on the door catching Hyunjin's attention

his expressions that were moments ago very relaxed and merry had now turned into unsettled and confining, eyebrows knitted together while his lips pursed shut as he stared at his mother "Lix, I'll call you back in five k?" he spoke, voice as soft as the best of cotton to have ever been harvested, a few seconds later after hearing Felix's reply he hung up the call and sat his phone down in his lap

"do you need something?" he questioned, voice raw and rude. he was never that impolite with his mother "whose this angel that's making you laugh so well" she answered, setting herself down on the soft bed "what's it to you?" he questioned, cocking a brow "what is this tone you're using with me, dear?" she asked, voice soft and helpless

she felt hurt, her son wouldn't even bother telling her about his life "I'm confused" he questioned once again, and she sighed "do you mind telling me?" she cross-questioned him and now it was Hyunjin's turn to sigh "a friend" he replied, almost under his breath and she smiled so widely "a friend?" he rolled his eyes at her surprise, she knew how much he hated humans and their habitats "yes, a friend. hard to believe isn't it? your pathetic unsuccessful son can also have friends" he sassed

and she sighed again, staring down at her lap. why did he always think so bitter? "of course no son, I'm just happy" he stayed silent, and she did too. for some time they both stayed silent before she broke it, Hyunjin's eyes lingering low at his hands he was messing around with "I want to meet this friend of yours" he looked up at her in shock, she wanted to meet this angel that had made her son so happy "huh?" he was baffled at the comment she had passed "yes, Invite them over for dinner. tomorrow evening, 8 pm"

"and why will I?" he questioned, making his mother smile softly "because I want to meet them, that's why" she didn't want to tell him the real reason, knowing he'd probably get offended and take it for something it isn't. Hyunjin sighed "he can't come, he's busy" she shook her head "You didn't even ask him" he sighed, upset that his mother had outwitted him "I know he is" "please Hyunjin, It'll be nice for us to meet your friends" he sighed crossing his arms over his chest "so he can insult him as he does with me? no." she sighed "I promise he won't" he didn't wanna argue with her
