a grimaced expression decorated Hyunjin's face as he sat down the coffee on a table and glared at the couple he was serving "do you want anything else?" his voice was annoyed and exasperated, the couple stared at him uncomfortable before the boy spoke "oh um no actually, this is it thank you" he looked at them for a second with disgust lacing his face before he turned around to walk away leaving the couple to gaze at each other in confusion

he walked back to the counter and wiped his hands, once again, as though he hadn't done this seventy times already. his face had been the same the moment he wore his uniform and began his shift today, he would've started yesterday but it appeared that replacing an employee wasn't so easy and he'd have to get through some paperwork before he actually started working fortunately, it only took a day

so today as soon as he was done with school he came here and to say the least he was not having it. this place was so not made for him, well—it was good when he'd come here as a customer but now that he was working here, this was nothing but a burning inferno. he was appalled and annoyed, first school and now this he just hated today with all his might

but then again, the thought of Felix would occasionally cross his mind and he'd be reminded of why he was doing this, and that would be enough to help him get through this torture. yesterday he had spent the entire day with Felix just like the past few days, and he was absolutely bewildered by the fact that he was able to tolerate somebody for so long

and not just tolerate but enjoy being with him, he was so astonished but loved every second of it. by now he didn't even question the storms that swirled inside of him each time his skin would graze against Felix or when he'd see the brunette smile and laugh, he didn't think about how he was taking care of someone with so much will, how he wanted Felix to be the happiest he could be and how it all gave him such joy

Joy—a word that he was ever so unfamiliar with but nowadays it seemed to dance around him, a soft sigh escaped his lips as he gazed at the clock that hung on the beige-painted wall, watching the ticking clock hands and how they turned rapidly. for a second relief washed over him like a wave of the tide but it was also pulled back just like a wave of the tide when he realized how rapidly time went, and he couldn't help but be painted in grief his disgusted expressions fell and turned into ache that was unrecognizable to any eye, but one pair of eyes could still see through the pain that was barely visible

the eyes that belonged to no other than the boy who had brought Hyunjin back to life and wasn't even aware of it. the raven haired's heartbeat began increasing as he watched the clock with slight horror in his widened eyes, a gulp dampened his parched throat but it went dry just as quickly as it was wet. he was brought out of his scattered train of disarrayed thoughts by a female voice

"Hyunjin, we um...need a server would you mind-" her voice was barely audible as Hyunjin turned to look at her, his face returning to normal and by normal I mean dead eyes slanted and lips in a thin line, expressions reading 'talk to me and I'd give your mother a reason to cry over' and that is why even Hye-jin, the baddest bitch this town has ever seen was scared of talking to him

he nodded slightly before walking toward the table, pushing the agonizing thoughts at the back of his head, and began working as usual just waiting for this to be over soon so he can return home to Felix
