"did you sleep at all last night?" asked Felix, stretching his limbs as he yawned. eyes shut while he was still seated on the sofa, "yes" he glanced over at Hyunjin who was standing near the kitchen, resting against the marble countertop as he sipped on the water lazily "lies" Felix replied making him sigh "I did, I swear" the boy answered walking towards Felix and sitting down beside him on the couch

the brunette has just woken up minutes ago, while Hyunjin was already awake as Felix came to find out when he opened his eyes. "it rained last night?" Felix asked staring out the window and watching all the trees damp "yes, pretty heavily" Felix furrowed his brows and turned to stare at Hyunjin "and I slept through it?" he asked, confused. "pretty much yes, you did wake up and ask me if it was raining. but I suppose you were still quite asleep when doing so" Hyunjin explained, "weird" he replied, the rain was never his best friend. he'd always have extra difficulty falling asleep when it was raining

 they kept eye contact for a split second before Felix felt himself burn up at just the small sight, his cheeks turning red as his heart fluttered under Hyunjin's gaze so he sighed rubbing his palms on his knees before getting up from the couch altogether "I'll go take a shower" he spoke and Hyunjin hummed, getting himself busy on his phone

"you have work today?" he heard Hyunjin ask from behind "yes" he replied "mkay, get ready. I'll drop you off before going home" Hyunjin spoke turning around to gaze at Felix, sounding as natural as one could be while Felix was burning red on the other hand, heart ready to jump out of his ribcage "oh um...sure" he answered. smiling softly watching Hyunjin nod and turn back around which made him sigh 

'This is gonna be a hell of a ride' the brunette wondered in his head walking towards his room, he's never had feelings for anyone. never, he's always been the kind to trust people and start liking them as quickly as rain falls from the sky but he has never felt anything toward anybody romantically, so that meant having a crush was a new experience for the boy. much like anything else

and Hyunjin being the guy he just had to fall for was not helping at all, guilt started rising in the pit of his stomach. that was the only friend he had, and what they had was so beautiful and precious to Felix. what if his feelings get in the way and ruin what they have? he wouldn't be able to afford that, he's got a load of baggage but just the thought of losing Hyunjin made his breath hitch and heart stop beating

he was too much of a tressure to Felix for him to ever lose him, the cold water prickled his pale skin as he shivered under the shower closing his eyes and letting his worries be washed away with his body. he let his head fall back feeling the water fall upon his face making it hard for him to breathe, but he didn't stop. letting himself be suffocated by the water falling on him

'I can't do this, I can't let this happen, Hyunjin means way too much to me for me to mess around like this, this will ruin us and whatever we have. I'd rather lose the world than lose Hyunjin' so he took an oath, right there, under the shower of his small apartment where he had spent the night together with hyunjin. cuddled up on the small couch while it rained outside, with the cold water tickling his face and nearly blocking his breathing

he promised himself and the universe that he won't let these feelings grow, he'll hide them away and lock them away in the deepest, darkest pits of his heart. never speaking of these feelings to anyone, because to speak would give them life. with his words, they'd be out in the world, breathing and living. and he has to muffle them, shut them off, and strangle them with his bare hands 

'I'll do anything to keep him... because he's all I have'
