"Nothing I do is ever good
nothing I do is ever good enough."

Lilith leaned against a door in the boy's locker room with her arms folded across her chest. Scott was stood next to her while deputy's from the sheriff's department wandered in and out of the room. Both of them had just saved Kira from being attacked by a coyote, which was actually Malia.

Scott was apparently giving her the silent treatment for trying to shoot it with an arrow, but it hadn't been her fault! She hadn't known that the coyote was Malia, she was just trying to help Kira not get mauled by the animal!

The boy was only using the coyote as an excuse though; the real problem was with the fact that she'd dated Jade as an assignment for the alpha pack.

In all honesty, it had started out as a task for her, but then it actually turned into fun. Aside from the incredible kisser that she was, Jade was also kind and funny whenever they talked, which was an added bonus.

The twins and Stiles both walked through the doorway, heading straight towards them. Well, speak of the devil and she will appear. The blonde froze in her tracks, Max rolling his eyes and pushing her forward.

"Hey Lilith," Stiles forced a smile. He did feel bad for the girl. She had no one to talk too now that Ethan and Aiden had disappeared; it wasn't exactly like her and Allison had a good relationship either. He glanced at Scott, silently asking if he could talk when she was there. The werewolf nodded slightly, waiting to see what was happening. "I think I know what she was looking for."

Stiles pulled the doll from the car wreck out of his bag as Jade smacked him around the head. He was honestly going to be the death of them.

"Seriously! Why do you always take stuff that you're not meant to!" Max hissed.

"What? Name one time I done that!"

"Sophomore year. You brought wolfsbane into the car and almost killed Scott."

"Why would you take wolfsbane in a car with a werewolf?" Lilith's eyes widened. Was he actually that stupid?

"It was an accident! And I took the doll because I though Scott could use it to find her scent or something," Stiles hissed through gritted teeth.

"Where did you get that? Where did you find this?" Mr Tate appeared in the room, snatching the doll out of his hands. "It belonged to my daughter."

The sheriff glanced over to the group, mumbling a goodbye to a deputy when he saw who was here. "Mr Tate, I don't know how you heard about this. If you got your own police scanner or what but you can't be here."

Everyone in the room turned to look at Noah when he paused, a hand on the man's abdomen. He pulled Mr Tate's jacket aside, revealing a gun hidden away in his belt. The teenagers stiffened, taking a step back.

"I have a permit."

"California schools are gun free zones, permit or no permit. You need to leave. Now," Noah stated firmly, ushering him closer to the doors.

Mr Tate spluttered, shrugging the sheriffs hand off of him. He wasn't going to hurt anyone. He wasn't. "You find that animal. You find the thing that killed my family."

Jade looked through some drawers, trying to find something interesting. She hated waiting. Ever since she was a child, it had been the same thing. Doctor's appointment? She'd rather be on her death bed. She had zero patience, that was for sure.

Deaton walked back into the main room of the animal clinic. He placed three jars in front of him as the others surrounded the metal table. "Xylazine. It's a tranquilliser for horses. For a werecoyote, expect it to work in seconds. I only have three. So whoever's shooting needs to be a damn good shot."
