It's not until Friday that I hear anything from the guys. George sent me a single text asking for me to save him from the germs, but other than that it's been radio silence.

That is, until I get another message from George. I don't read it right away, but he must be impatient because he calls me.

"What George?" I answer.

"You need to come over," he says in a quiet whisper.

"What does that even mean?" I laugh. "Are you okay?"

"It's spreading."

"George," I say slowly, "I need something more than that."

"y/n, I'm asking for your help, okay?" He sighs. "Trust me, it's hard to say so please."

"Please?"

"Please."

I couldn't get past George's little pleads for help, so I show up at their door half an hour later. I actually smile at the light sage color when I knock.

George swings open the door. "Finally."

I burst out laughing immediately. "What are you wearing?"

He looks down at his outfit. "It's contagious y/n. I'm taking precautions."

George is wearing not one, not two, but three masks on his face, along with a face shield, gloves and a bottle of fabreze in hand.

I walk into the door. "You might as well have bought a hazmat suit."

"I couldn't get it to ship here fast enough," he says as he closes the door. When he does so he sprays that handle after. "Other than food this is my first time out of my room."

"What about the guys?" I ask, eying him questioningly.

"What about them?" He raises his brows.

"Are you checking on them?" I ask. "Where's Clay anyways?"

"Well, Clay was taking care of Nick, but he got sick," George explains, "Now they're fending for their own."

"Have you at least talked to them?"

"Clay facetimes me once, but he coughed once." He shudders from the memory. "I had to hang up immediately and sanitize."

"Sanitize what?" I ask, setting down my bag.

"My phone."

I roll my eyes. "I'm guessing you're not going to help me?"

He shakes his head. "I'll be in my room if you want me." He goes to walk upstairs before he turns back to me. "Actually, I take that back. I'll be in my room, stay away."

"Noted."

I check on Clay first since it seems like he hasn't been cared for at all. I knock first but walk in shortly after. Clay's laying in a dark heap of blanket on the bed. I smile a bit at him as he lifts his head to see me.

"Hi," he croaks.

"Hey," I say softly, "How are you feeling?"

"Amazing." He chuckles at himself. "Awful."

"I'd imagine." I laugh with him. "Do you need anything?"

"No, it's just a headache." He sighs. "You might not want to be in here. George says I'm super contagious."

"Well George is also close to tenting the house, so I don't think his word could scare me off that easily," I say. I gently place the back of my hand to his forehead. The connection instantly heats my hand in a very bad way. "You're hot."
