Make it Right

C H A P T E R 1 6

It was a beautiful day. The ray of sunlight shone throughout Risa's window. Maeve has now long been awake watching a certain morena in her sleep. ' she's still here,' she said in her thoughts. 

She don't know why, but she can't help the smile forming in her lips as she poke the latter's nose. She's so cute is what she says. Watching her best friend sleeping one of her favorite thing to see. It's not like this is the first time she sees her best friend sleeping, but it sure is the first time that she pay attention in her best friend's beauty. 

With her slim fingers, Maeve traces Risa's face from her forehead down to the latter's luscious lips. This cause for Risa to stir in her sleep, which made Maeve withdraw her fingers and rest it on the latter's chest where her heart is. 

"Good morning" Risa said, smiling while looking at the brunette. She had just slowly opened her eyes and to see that Maeve is by her side made her feel so happy.

For a second, Maeve got lost in the hoarseness of Risa's voice. It made her feel different tingles in her heart and she almost blurted out the word sexy. 

"Good morning, babe" she manage to reply, reciprocating the latter's smile before she kissed her on the cheeks. 

"How's your sleep?" Risa asked to hide the blush on her face but it was of no use though. Maeve already see it and thought it was cute. 

"It's the best" Maeve said, burying her face on the crook of Risa's neck. 

And indeed, it's also the best sleep for Risa. She didn't know how much she missed moments like this with Maeve until today. Well, she missed the brunette almost everyday, but she decided not to dwell on it for much in order not to get hurt again and Leo has been a great distraction. 

"We should get ready. You're taking me to the amusement park, remember?" Risa asked, reminding about their plans. She just wished Maeve won't cancel the last minute. She had already been hoping and canceling it would shatter her once again

"Of course, I remember. But let's just stay like this for 5 more minutes" Maeve mumbled as she hold Risa more tightly. Risa can't help but to smile on how clingy her best friend is these days. She just hope that this won't end. But of course, everything has always an end. 

After the two had spend more time on bed and with so much persuasion from Risa, they finally arrived at the amusement park. It's a good thing that it's Thursday and a weekday since it is not that pack with so much people. Risa in all honestly really hate too much crowd. 

"So, what do you want to ride first?" Maeve asked her best friend who look the place with aww

"I don't really know much of rides. How about you choose?"

"Then how about we ride the drop down, then after we could ride the roller coaster and bumping cars?" Maeve suggested which earned a quick and fast nod from Risa. The girl is just so excited to be at the amusement park and you can't blame her it's her first time to be in such place and experience all these amazing rides. 

They made their way on the drop down line, seeing those who are ahead of them about to experience the ride. After the people are being lifted up above, the person in charge drop them down, resulting for some screams of the people riding it. 

"That look so exciting!" Risa exclaimed which Maeve agreed with a big nod and smile. It's a good thing that neither of them are scared of heights and excitements. 

After some time, it was already their turn. They were so excited that when the person in charge drop them down Risa can't help but to scream 'this is fun!' and that made Maeve to note it in her mind to bring Risa again at the amusement park. 

Now, it's their turn to ride the roller coaster and Maeve suggested to her best friend for them to sing Taylor Swift's song 'That's the way I loved you' when they are at the exciting part. This earned a big 'yes' from Risa since she's a big Swiftie. And of course, Maeve knows it, that's why she suggested it. 

~But I miss screaming and fighting and kissing in the rain, it's 2 am and I'm cursing your name. So in love that you act insane and THAT'S THE WAY I LOVED YOU!~ 

People are now screaming, but the two were just having fun singing to Taylor Swift's song. To say that it's the best ride is an understatement. It was the most beautiful and fun ride the two ever had. 

~Breakin' down coming undone, it's roller coaster kinda rush and I never knew I could feel that much and THAT'S THE WAY I LOVED YOU!~ 

The two sing at the top of their lungs, almost losing their voices. They didn't even know that the ride had already come to a stop they just got lost at each other's eyes when they suddenly looked at each other after singing the line 'that's the way I loved you'. The sound of the people who were with them on the ride made each other realize that the  ride had come to its end. 

Risa can't help but feel nervous. Not because of the loud thumping of her heart, but because she's mostly afraid that Maeve would change her behavior again. That's why when she heard the latter laugh she can't help but silently sigh in relief and laugh together with her best friend. 

"That was fun!" Maeve said, still looking at her best friend's eyes. 

"That was. And now, let's ride the bumping cars!" Risa replied with excitement in her tone. Maeve can't help but giggle at her friend's excitement. She really need to do it again with Risa. Maybe after they graduate? They would be graduating this year and it would be her gift for the morena. Or so she thought.
