I really hope my readers are taking good care of themselves. The later parts of Chapter V may include real examples of toxic parents which could upset some groups.
Do know I am not some parent-hating troll, but rather critical of how folks treat their own kids like personal dolls ("I want you to be this 'coz your parents/grandparents never got to have the opportunity growing up!") and prioritizing their own public image ("What will the people think?"). This is also common in some immigrant families as shown in the story.
Anyway, proceed with caution and hope it doesn't stop you guys from supporting the author ...
