I remember watching "Frozen 2" and never thought that Anna would somehow resonate with me. Similar to her, I used to be immature, feisty and prone to making rash decisions which made it easy for others to take advantage of me. The moment she began singing "The Next Right Thing" showed how much she has grown all these years.
Guess what? People change.
We all make stupid decisions in our youth and regret things so others should give us a little bit of room to move on. Each individual offers varying levels of knowledge and maturity. I really disagree with society's presumptions that just because you're younger, nobody is gonna take you seriously. Your generation as a whole are viewed as irredeemable dunces who thrive in drama and don't know any better. You also can't expect Milo and his friends to already have their lives figured out because they're only fourteen. It's rather unfair to expect that kids should be like Malik who is actually an adult and holds more life experiences compared to them.
Why get mad at someone for not turning out the way you expected them to? Don't forget that you also went through the same ordeal as these youngsters are in now!
If there's anything we could learn about our past, it is important to forgive yourself for any past hiccup and share your insights to help others. As they say, experience is the best teacher. Without them, life would be boring and meaningless...
