Chapter XIII: TROUBLE

Meet Omar.

The young man was nearly the size of Rohan, with neatly-combed, silver hair and pale skin. He had green eyes and thick-framed glasses.
He sat at the opposite table far from the other customers. Rohan flinched as Omar gave him that stern eye - the guy really meant it! He rushed towards Tammy and the boys to let them know that they're being summoned.

"Who?" The four all turned to look at the person he was pointing them to. They gulped nervously.

"Are you kidding me?" Ejaz and Feroz tried their best to not shout in public.

Tammy could almost snap her fork apart as she saw Omar moving his finger as if they're a bunch of dogs. "Alright, mister! What do you want from us?" she immediately ran towards the boy's table and slammed her fist against it.
He didn't even flinch. He let out a low sigh and slid his ID card towards them. It turns out he is actually an undercover cop. "You know civilians aren't allowed to share any sensitive info, especially about the school," he pointed a gun finger at them.

"So you only go by the name 'Omar', eh?" Rohan asked.

"Exactly! We undercover cops don't actually disclose our full names to anyone," Omar winked.

"I see ... So what brings you here?" Tammy asked.

"Well, I'm here to ask how much did you saw a while ago!" the man in the red uniform said. He moved his seat to the side and crossed his legs in front of them.

"You better not skip any details, kid. I can sniff out a liar from a mile away."

Omar seems to be a formidable force. He doesn't need a lie detector to know whether someone is being dishonest.
The other customers are also watching them, except they couldn't hear anything they're saying since they all talk softly. After Tammy explained everything, he raised a curious brow at them.

"It's a shame that Milo isn't here. I bet he'd love to hear the stuff I found upon infiltrating that school," he leaned back indolently on his chair while gazing into the distance, "Aren't you close friends with him?"

"Well ... Our sister told us that his dad has been training him to be tough. We'll let you know if he's not busy," Chirag assured him.

"Hm, fair enough. I look forward to meeting this young detective next time," Omar chuckled as he went on to share the stuff he discovered.

•••

Milo received an e-mail from Chirag this evening and opened the footage of Omar speaking to the camera.

They were all gathered at the main lobby.

After blending into the crowd of junior high schoolers, I secretly climbed up the walls' upper hedges and got to see a whole view of what's going on. They all took off their uniforms and slowly they shifted into their military gear like magic.
Let me tell you this ain't your typical gym class kind of training. Miss Odval and the others weren't afraid to break a few bones. Seeing how they already specialize with various weapons and combat, it's safe to say they've been trained at such a young age.
Miss Odval watched over the whole thing behind the screen. She wasn't bothered when someone got hurt and sent away to "The Quiet Room."
If you happen to slightly step out of line, you're subjected to constant insults and torture here. They were all trained to be steel-hearted soldiers for they believe a greater enemy exist and those are the members of the QSPYWARSY.
After training, Miss Odval summoned on stage their top fighters. Among the thirty were Jonathan Garcia, Vanessa Alba, Liu Jun and a hulking figure with unusual proportions. I was able to explore the other side of the school until I've arrived at the music hall.
I took the secret elevator hidden behind the trophy shelf and noticed it also leads to an underground floor. The elevator door was made of glass so I got to immediately see a huge facility where everything was run by robots. Within those tall cylinders pushed out metallic skeletons as they were built to look human.
A tall young woman with a pixie cut surveys the area as I begin to hide behind the nearby lockers upon exiting the elevator. I heard her talking to Miss Odval, mentioning about how they've already made ten thousand "soldiers" ready for war. They were made as backup (in case the original students lost their lives in the war) and replacements for the 'defective' ones.

Attached to this recording is an image file as evidence ...

I am telling you this because I know you're one smart kid, Milo Sidaris. You know stuff which no other person can.
I just hope you'd be a lot careful unless you wanted to be stalked again. Once you've opened this email, it's gonna expire within ten minutes.

Take care and I hope we meet one day ...

The email disappeared exactly ten minutes after. The boy fell back on his pillow in shock and confusion, lowering his phone to relax his mind.
He wondered who exactly this Omar guy is and how on earth did he know his full name. Maybe he was among the people who got to see the televised lawsuit, too!
Even if he doesn't watch TV, an undercover cop like Omar is able to access people's various information. He is quite uneasy over how he convinced Chirag to record him. No stranger, especially an adult, would sit there and tell a kid to do things for them.
Milo had saved the image Omar sent him. He also relayed it to Aunt Glenda so she can see if it's real.
