As I am writing this, I was able to reach above the forty-thousand word benchmark. I also wanted to thank everyone who helped me gain about five-hundred readers and eleven votes on Wattpad. Now I wrote the arc of Omar as a sort of PSA (Public Service Announcement). Based on personal experiences, I remember being a kid myself with limited life experiences, likely to be taken advantage of and fall into the wrong crowds. This is also why I wasn't allowed to have any online friends while growing up.
Now I don't mean to scare you, but this is a message to never let your guard down. Just because someone happens to be a relative, teacher, family friend or seemingly genuine figure like Omar, it doesn't guarantee you could put your whole trust on them. It's alright to say 'no' to someone especially when you feel uncomfortable around them. Never agree to do stuff for anyone, even if they force you or promise something (e.g. a free house, money or fame). To the grownups out there, do know that kids aren't stupid. They simply need your wisdom to stay on the right path. Learn to set boundaries on whatever they should do in certain situations (e.g. "Never share these things with strangers for it could be used against you."). I mean, there will come the time when totally shielding them from everything you deemed "unsafe" doesn't work anymore and the kid should be old enough to know what stranger danger is. You don't want little Timmy to end up like me who had to learn the dangers of the Internet the hard way, do you?
