Chapter XIII: TROUBLE
At the Sidaris household.
Aunt Glenda went on to explain what she had witnessed while riding the train to Aspin. Both of Milo's parents stared at her in disbelief. A paraglider was just killed in front of eveybody's eyes.
When they saw Milo come downstairs, the conversation was quickly shifted to the email he sent her. Hades began to hiss at Aunt Glenda. The feline is usually aggressive towards outsiders."Ah, it seems you're upsetting my owner!" Hades thought.
"I've gotten over the files you've sent me and the truth scanner revealed it to be authentic," the woman looked at her phone before eyeing her nephew, "Somehow, this student was able to send it to you from school. Correct?""Yes, and I suppose it's a cry for help! My friend's brother got them first and relayed it to me knowing I might be able to debunk them somehow," Milo said.
"I have a bad feeling about this ... " Jason crossed his arms and cocked back his head as he is instantly unease.
"It appears there's a lot going on within that school," Aunt Glenda suspected.
While Gladys heads over to take out the eggplant omelette (tortang talong) from the kitchen, her husband turns on the television to see what's on.
"Bà! Couldn't they make any news other than these celebrities' personal lives?" he slammed his hand on the table.
Indeed, this country has an affinity for entertainment. Nobody is going to watch anything unless it's something people want to see. Five minutes later, they were startled by the loud mention of Omar.TONIGHT THIS WEEKEND,
THE POLICE ARE STATIONED OUTSIDE BERRY GREENS APARTMENT NO. 30 IN ANANAS STREET, MANTEL CITY.THEY ARE ON A SEARCH FOR A MYSTERIOUS MAN NAME OMAR VOGEL, A FORMER COP WHO IS CHARGED WITH IDENTITY THEFT AND TAX EVASION.
ONCE THE LANDLORD OF THE BUILDING WAS QUESTIONED ABOUT IT, SHE APPEARS TO BE CLUELESS. SHE NEITHER SAW ANYBODY WHO MATCHES THE PERSON'S PROFILE.
Milo felt too nervous to swallow. The ones who knew the guy before also described the man as impulsive, artful and a bit mental. A misanthrope who listens to nobody.
Omar was kicked out of the job after deciding to find a missing student from the Red Flower Academy against police protocols. Now, he mostly jumps from one place to another so they don't catch up with him. The public is reminded not to entertain him and hesitate in reporting his whereabouts."Honey! Your food's getting cold," Gladys snapped him out.
"Oh, sorry ... " Milo hiccuped.
"By the way, if you know something's up, let me know," Aunt Glenda said. Not only is he conflicted in revealing what he and Chirag knew about Omar, but also Irene being radio silent for most of the day. He felt a cold touch on his shoulder as his aunt tapped him and said they could talk about the mysterious photos after dinner.
He knows that not everything is gonna remain a secret for long, especially when she plans on spending the holidays here until Tuesday."Darn it! Why does she need to have her house renovated during Diwali?" his mind was already at its wits end.
After dinner, Milo heads over to take a shower and goes to his room. He picked up his phone where he got a message from Kaira.
Hey, Milo! Are you up?
