Chapter 20

I was freed from Suho's grip but my body wouldn't hold my weight, I slid down the wall to the floor and tucked my head between my knees.
I shut my eyes tight, focusing on the blackness.
Make it stop.
Why am I still shaking?
I had an eery ringing in my ears-
The ringing in my ears had almost drowned out the sounds of flesh pounding flesh.
I tried my best to take deep breaths.
Inhale-
Exhale.
Why isn't it WORKING?
Every now and then I choked on air- I guess I was still crying.
I could feel sections of my cheeks going ice cold where my tears had trailed down.
And then, there was
Silence.

I felt some one sit next to me- my saviour I presume- he didn't smell of alcohol like Suho did.
He shuffled next to me and wrapped his arms around me, he wrapped his arms around me tightly.
At first I flinched, still afraid.
"Shh shhh...it's okay" he breathed into my ear- trying to calm me down, he was breathing heavily after his battle; I could feel his chest rise and fall next to me.

I guess it was working since I'd stopped crying, I was only shaking now.
"It's okay Sena...are you hurt?"
I lifted my head to see Jimin staring back at me intensely- I noticed a light purple bruise on his lower right cheek.
Without knowing, I had reached my hand out towards his cheek.
I lightly brushed my thumb over the light-purple skin; he ever so slightly flinched, "a-are you okay?" I asked, voice shaking.
He clenched his jaw, nodded then forced a smile.
I heard the door open, Sariah and Lisa came into the hall way.
They looked at Suho then at Jimin and I.
"WHAT HAPPENED?" Exclaimed Lisa, mouth wide open- staring at the passed out Suho.
"Are you okay? What did he do?" Sariah quietly asked.
Jimin and I exchanged glances, I was still shaking and I didn't want to talk about it either- Jimin understood that.
He took a deep breath, "You girls go back inside and call the police, Sena and I will join you in a minute." he said.
Lisa and Sariah paused for a moment before slowly retreating into my apartment.

"Jimin..." I whispered as I rested my head on my knee.
"Mm?"

"I'm scared."
He looked back at me worried, "it's going to be okay, you're okay. The police are on their way."
He paused for a moment before embracing me in a tight warm hug.
"You're okay.. Thank God."
I wasn't shaking anymore.
I felt safe in his arms.
I don't want to leave his arms, right now- right here, is the most content I could feel.
His scent of bar soap and Old Spice deodorant was comforting.
"We should go in."
I listened to him and forced myself to stand, honestly my legs were so wobbly that I felt like a newborn baby trying to stand for the first time.
Jimin helped hold me up by my waist with one hand and my elbow with the other.

We slowly walked in and sat on the sofa together, I brought my legs up and pulled them in against my chest.
Jimin leaned in, "are you going to tell them what happened....or...? Do you want me to?"
I shook my head.
Lisa and Sariah were standing across us, I steadied my breathing before speaking "Suho was drunk, he got a bit violent...but I'm okay."
Jimin stared at me... I could tell what he was thinking- yeah a "bit violent"...

"The police should be here soon." Sariah told us.
The 5 minutes we waited in silence felt like forever. Lisa had heated up some milk for me...I love milk, it helps OK.
Sariah gave Jimin some ice for the bruise below his eye, it didn't look too bad... They should be able to cover it up with make up I guess. I could tell that he tried his hardest to not flinch when he smacked the ice packet on the purple patch of skin.

When the police arrived, Jimin went out to explain what happened. Lisa and Sariah stayed in my bedroom... they far me some space, I wasn't really
I the mood to talk so I didn't mind.

After what felt like another forever, Jimin came back.
He didn't seem too happy- "They took him away but they said that we can't press charges since he was drunk and no permanent damage was done!"

"Jimin..." I called out, ready to reassure him.

"WHAT?!" He yelled back... He paused for a moment and cleared his throat.."Sorry Sena, I'm just mad... What were you saying?"

I gestured him to sit down next to me.
"Look, I'm fine- look, see I'm okay...I'm okay. I am okay. I'm fine.
It's okay."
Oh gosh no I'm tearing up.
I blinked away the tears.
"I'm okay, we're okay. It's okay."
He shuffled closer to me, I ended up resting my head on my shoulder-
"It's not okay, he hurt you... he's. Bad guy. He tried to-
He's a bad person... After the break in- and this, I feel like you aren't safe...I can't just leave you alone"
"I have Sariah and Lisa with me."
"No offence but they can't do much either. Plus, they're leaving tomorrow."

I closed my eyes and forced out the words "Then stay.... For now atleast... I mean, uh until, I mean until everything cools down? Like I mean at least until it's safe- well it's never really safe but I mean until I'm okay. BUT IM OKAY I MEAN but uh until you're convinced that I'm okay? Until you're okay? Until it's all okay? Not that it's not all okay right now...uh..."
Uhhh I made it awkward,
Stupid
Stupid Sena.

Seriously why would he stay and babysit you. You're such a CRY BABY.
Dumbass-

Then, just then, my heart skipped a beat-

"I'll Stay."
