Y/n's POV

"Y/n, more power!" Zuko shouted. "Aang, more ferocious!"

I grunted as I punched the air, fire blasting from my fists.

"Imagine striking through your opponent's heart!" Zuko said.

"I'm trying!" Aang whined.

I turned towards Zuko and blasted fire at him. Of course, he stepped out the way with ease.

"I swear to god, Zuko. If you keep this up, I'm going to end the lives of two Fire Lords." I growled at him, then stood up straight, wiping sweat off my forehead. "I'm done for today." I said, beginning to walk over to the stairs where everyone else sat.

"Who wants a nice, cool drink of watermelon juice?" Katara asked.

I began sprinting towards her.

"Me!" Aang screamed, sprinting behind me.

"Guys, slow down." She said as we approached. Her eyes narrowed. "Slow down." She repeated.

Now side by side as we ran, neither Aang nor I had any intention of slowing down.

"Move!" Katara shouted as she dropped the watermelons, diving out the way.

The others quickly moved.

Aang and I dove for the same watermelon, our heads colliding.

We both shouted, falling over.

"Ouch." I grumbled, rubbing my head.

Aang and I look at eachother, then began laughing.

"Sorry, Y/n." Aang laughed, standing up and offering me his hand.

"I'm sorry, too." I laughed, taking his hand and standing up.

We both bent over to pick up a watermelon, then looked at each other, grinning.

"Cheers!" I said, holding up my watermelon. "To being the Avatars who end the war!"

Aang grinned.
"Cheers!" He said.

We touched our watermelons together and began drinking.

"This is amazing." I said, slurping the juice.

"Agreed." Aang said.

"I'm...glad you guys like it?" Katara said.

"You need to get back to training." Zuko said.

"We've been training all morning." Aang groaned.

"Yeah." I said. "We deserve a break."

"I know what we need!" Sokka said, ripping off his robe to reveal swimming trunks. "Beach party!"

Aang and I looked at each other and grinned.

I began sprinting to the water, diving in.

As I resurfaced, I saw Katara surfing on an ice board.

That looks fun! I thought.

I created one, then began bending the water to make large waves.

"Yeah!" I shouted, laughing.

This is fun!

I then saw everybody gathering on shore.

Confused, I surfed to the shore and melted my board.

"What's going on?" I asked, approaching the group.

"Zuko's attacking Aang!" Katara shouted, taking off running.

"What?!" I shouted, following after her.

Why is he attacking Aang? Don't tell me... is he trying to hunt him again? But I actually like them...

We arrived as Zuko hit the ground after being blasted out of the house by Aang.

Aang jumped down as we arrived.

"What's wrong with you? You could've hurt Aang!" Katara shouted at him.

"What were you thinking?!" I shouted at him, looking up at the house. "The house is a wreck!"

"What's wrong with me?!" He shouted at us, standing up. "What's wrong with all of you?! What are you guys thinking, having beach parties when Sozin's comet is three days away?!"

I glanced at everyone, confused.

"Why is everyone so quiet?" I asked.

"Why is everyone looking at me like I'm crazy?" Zuko asked.

"...About Sozin's comet," Aang began, "I was actually going to wait to fight the Fire Lord until after it came."

"After?" Zuko repeated.

"Why didn't you tell us?" I asked, frowning.

"I'm not ready." Aang said. "I need more time to master firebending."

"Your earthbending still needs some work, too." Toph added.

"You all knew Aang was gonna wait?" Zuko asked.

"Not me." I said defensively.

Sokka stepped forward.
"If Aang tries to fight the Fire Lord right now, he'll lose." He said.

"But with both of us, we'd win." I said.

The group got quiet.

"What?" I asked. "Everyone got quiet again."

"Well, actually..." Aang began, looking off to the side.

"It's Aang's destiny to fight the Fire Lord." Katara said.

"What about what Avatar Roku told me? About how Aang won't be able to do what he needs to do?" I asked, frowning. "If Roku doesn't think he can do it, then he needs help."

"Maybe Roku was wrong." Aang said.

"No." Zuko said, shaking his head. "Things are about to get worse than you can even imagine."
