((This chapter is a little out of order compared to the show, but then again, it's a fanfiction. Who cares if it's not completely accurate))

Y/n's POV

"That's impossible!" She shouted at me.

"Hey, I said quiet down!" I whisper-yelled at her. "It's not impossible if you try."

"No earthbender has ever been known to bend metal." She said.

"Think about it." I said. "Metal is just purified earth. You can do this, Toph."

"I guess it wouldn't hurt to try.." She mumbled.
"I need space. Step to the side."

"I can only move so far." I said, scooting closer to the wall.

She put her hand up to the metal, then hit it.

She began hitting it all around.

"I..can see it." She whispered.

"What?" I asked, confused.

She took a deep breath, then punched the metal.

"Woo! Let's go!" She smiled, punching it again.

Each punch dented the metal.
She then hit the metal with both her hands, creating an opening.

This is the most violent child I have ever met.

"You're amazing!" I smiled. "Let's go!"

She slipped out of the hole.

As I was about to follow her, she closed it.

"Hey! What gives?!" I shouted. "Open it back up!"

"Sorry, but helping you is the same as helping Zuko." She said. "Thanks for helping me escape though!"

"Toph! Let me out!" I shouted, banging on the wall.

"How the hell did she get out?!" I heard Xin Fu shout.

"She's getting away!" Yu shouted.

I heard their footsteps fade as they chased after the girl.

"Damn it." I muttered. "Come on, Y/n. You can do this."

I punched the metal just as Toph had.

"FUCK-!" I shouted, holding my hand. "That HURT." I groaned with frusteration.
"If a child can do it, so can I." I muttered. "I'm an Avatar, for crying out loud."

I punched the metal once more.

I winced with pain.

Come on...come on!

I punched it again. And again.

Wait, did it just dent?! I grinned. Let's go!

I punched it yet again, then saw light peaking through.

"Yes!" I shouted.

I squeezed my hands through the small hole to get a grip on the metal.

Alright. Breathe.

I took a deep breath and began pulling the metal. Slowly, it began to open.

Soon, I had a space big enough for me to squeeze out of.

The men were still gone.

I squeezed through the hole, looking up at the sky.
The moon was high in the darkened sky.

This is going to be a long walk.

~~~~~~~~~~
I had to have been walking for several days by the time I got to the city.
I'm so tired. I thought, wobbling. And I'm a bit nervous to go back.
I was gone for a while.
Well, I have nowhere else to go.
I began walking as confidently as I could to the apartment.
Standing outside the door, I quietly knocked.
"Coming!" A voice shouted.
Weird. Who's voice was that?
A rather short man answered the door.
"How can I help you?" He asked, smiling.
"I'm sorry, I must have the wrong house. I was just looking for someone." I said apologetically.
"Oh! You must be Lin. Your uncle said you might stop by. A lot later than I expected, I'd admit, but better than not at all." He said.
"What do you mean? Where is he?"
"He opened his own tea shop. I'll write down the address. He said to make sure you knew where it was." He said, grabbing a piece of paper and scribbling something down. "Here it is."
"Thank you so much." I said, smiling.
"Of course. Have a lovely day." He smiled, closing the door.
I looked down at the address in hand, clutching it tightly.
Time to go find them.
