Roman & Scarlett (ON HOLD)

CHAPTER 6

When Scarlett got to the estate where Roman's penthouse was located, she couldn't help but admire the place and wasn't surprised to see that the pent house was made with the same black marble design like the office.

She had to stop herself from rolling her eyes, he really had a thing for the colour black and he had to rub it in everyone's face.

After calling the court house to withdraw all the cases and cleaning up the mess Roman made, a driver came to pick her up from the office, she knew working with Roman wasn't going to be easy, infact she braced herself to face every possible challenge head on but she never expected it to drain her mentally due to unnecessary back and forths with him.

"Welcome, I'm Alexa I'll take you to mr. Roman now" A lady said to scarlet when she got out of the car.

"Sure" Scarlett said and followed her.

"Here is the living room please wait here, he'll be with you shortly, if you need anything dont hesitate to press the button over there to notify me" Alexa said.

"Thanks" scarlet said and gave her a small smile.

"I'll excuse you now" Alexa said and left.

Scarlett couldnt help but admire the view, the living room had a beautiful view of the city, it felt like she was a god watching the world from above, it was indeed very beautiful, and the view wasn't the only beautiful thing about this place, the interior decoration was amazing, a mixture of black and gold, yes everything with Roman was made of black.

"Enjoying the view?" Roman said startling her.

She turned to face him and was surprised to see how close he was to her and he stood shirtless in all his glory, she couldn't help but admire how perfectly toned and chiseled his body was, the tattoos on his chest and arm only made him all the more alluring, his strong masculine scent was so thick in the air that if she wasn't careful she could get intoxicated by it, it took everything in her to fight the urge of tracing his body with her fingers, she watched as little drops of water ran downhis body into his torso,she wanted to touch this sexy greek God in front of her but she knew better.

"Like what you see?" Roman asked with a cocky smirk on his face.

"No" Scarlett said and took a step back away from him.

"I doubt that, but I'll let it slide, come with me" roman said and left with scarlet following suit.

As they made their way to the top of the penthouse, what happened in the living room replayed in scarlet's head and she couldn't help but blush a little, all this unexpected advances that he was making towards her might start getting to her if she didn't make her stand right now, and how he went from cold and annoying to this in few hours was something she should be weary of.

Relationship has never been in scarlet's agenda, she has always been a career woman especially after what happened ten years ago, that was her first and last mistake, so she had to pull herself together and get her head out of this disaster that's waiting to rise.

"Where are we going to if you don't mind me asking" Scarlett asked when they got to the top of the penthouse where a helicopter was waiting, but Roman ignored her.

Michelle, zack and Alexa were already there waiting, when alexa saw Roman she handed him a white shirt which he put on, zack had a smirk on his face and gave scarlet a mischievous look, which made her roll her eyes at him, she knew what he was thinking, hell she would think the same way if she saw a shirtless boss and his employee coming out of a house, but hell would have to freeze over before she would ever let that happen to her.

Without much a-due they all got into the helicopter, Zack still gave her that look, Michelle on the other hand had a smile plastered on her face, Roman was busy on his phone while Alexa had her gaze fixed on her, scarlet noticed that Alexa wasn't a fan in anyway from the first time she saw her, even though she couldn't care less if the woman didn't like her she still had to keep her guards up

The helicopter ride was quiet, filled with little tension between her and Alexa and short, and boy was scarlet happy about that later part, when they landed she noticed they were at the airport and a private jet was already packed with the captain and stewardess waiting outside to welcome them, the fact that's she still didn't know where their destination was bothered her.

Roman and the captain talked briefly before he boarded the plane then Zack,Alexa, scarlet and Michelle followed suite, when they were all settled the plane took off, scarlet opened her laptop immediately to check her emails just in case any of the respondents had something to complain of or say and to avoid any unnecessary conversation , she stole a few glances at Roman who was also busy on his phone, Alexa on the other hand still gave scarlet a malicious look, she sat in front of Roman like she was making her claims on him or passing a message to scarlet which made her roll her eyes.

"Alexa doesn't like you" Zack said to her which startled her a little, for a moment she forgot he was sitting next to her.

"And I don't see why that should be of any importance to me" scarlet said.

"It should, if you want to last long in Roman's life" Zack said which made scarlet raise a questioning brow at him.

"I don't understand" she said.

"Then you really don't know what's going on here, do you even know where we're headed?" Zack asked then turned to face her with a disbelieving look on his face.

"I don't know, last time I checked no one told me anything" scarlet said as a frown crept up her face.

"You don't know that we are headed to the biggest gathering of all time, the blacks annual gala, la potencia?" Zack said.

"I know of la potencia, who doesn't, I just didn't know that's where we are headed" scarlet said.

Scarlet didn't know how to feel about the situation, everyone knew about La Potencia, It was the biggest gathering of the mighty and powerful's in the country, it was every lawyer's dream to attend one but that was only possible if you were working for people of that caliber like Roman, It was one of scarlets dream to actually attend one because anyone who was anyone was going to be there and that was part of the reason why she agreed to work with Roman, and the fact that he didn't bother to tell her annoyed her.

She turned to look at him, only to find him already staring at her and whatever she was about to say to him or was angry about disappeared, He's cold hard fixated gaze took the words and feelings right out of her.

Roman was beginning to have an effect on her and she had to do something about it.
