Chapter 36

One week after scarlets father declaration of war everything turned upside down for her, first her apartment was raided and turned upside down, most of her documents were stolen or destroyed, then Zoe was attacked by her fathers men which landed her in the hospital, going home was no longer an option for her or Sofia and it drove her crazy. she was stock in an island she never wanted to be in and with a man she would rather kill than be this close to.

"Hey mum my friends are almost here go get ready" Sofia said to her mother who was lost in thoughts.

"sure...you look beautiful princess" Scarlet said then placed a kiss on he r daughters head.

Amidst all the issues she was facing and the war her father declared against her and whoever was on romans side, he still insisted on throwing a grand tenth year birthday party for Sofia despite scarlets warnings, she knew this was something that made her child happy but it was opening her to more risk but Sofia was just as stubborn as her mother and father so there was nothing she could do to change her mind.

"why are you staring out the window like you lost someone, its your daughters birthday scarlet be happy" Roman said then placed a kiss on his daughters head.

Scarlet rolled her eyes at him then squat down to her daughters height to fix a strand of her hair that was out of place.

"You look so pretty just like mummy...why dont you go outside and join your nana and ill be right down..i just want to have word with your dad" Scarlet said.

"Sure love you both" Sofia said and left her parents.

"This is a bad idea and you know it.. who throws a grand birthday party like this in the middle of a war that can cost all our lives.. total bullshit!" scarlet said angrily immediately Sofia left.

"What's bullshit is how i want to rip that dress of you and do crazy things to you right now" Roman said.

"I---Roman that's not what's important right now" Scarlet said stuttering a little as his words came as surprise to her and somehow they had a huge effect on her.

"Oh scarlet cat got your tongue" Roman said with a smirk on his face as he closed the space between them. Scarlet took steps back away from him with every step he took towards her until her bare back came in contact with the cold wall.

"Stop---stop this madness you are putting our child in danger" Scarlet said as her breath became heavy cause of how close roman was leaning to her, his minty breathe fanned her face as his lips were just few inches away from hers.

"Oh scarlet the fact that you keep talking turns me the fuck on' Roman said and leaned into her that their nose touched.

"Roman" Scarlet whispered as she stared into those cold grey eyes of his that were pulling her in.

"Having you here is messing with my senses you know.. the fact that you are just a door away from me every night has been torture for me scarlet, there's a lot I want to do to you but its so frustrating that you are exactly my type and I dont know if that's a good or bad thing.. you're so stubborn and outrageously sexy...what do I do scarlet tell me...I want the most hot headed woman in the world does that make me crazy?" Roman said then claimed her lips in a deep passionate kiss.

Scarlet moaned as her lips responded with the same passion and hunger as his, oh if only he knew they were going through the same torture every night, even though she would rather die than admit it, her body and heart had long betrayed her because they longed for his touch every night too, she pulled him closer like as if he wasn't close enough as her fingers raked his hair.

Roman picked her up and she wrapped her hands  on his shoulder, he took her to the bedside table and placed her on it then slowly traced his palms up her thighs till he found her panties then slowly pulled it down.
