Chapter 30

As Scarlet drove to her next destination her Apple Watch vibrated signaling an incoming call, she tapped her AirPods to pick up and was greeted with Roman's husky voice that sent shivers down her spine.

"Scarlet," he said.

"What do you want and why are you calling me by this time sir," Scarlet said.

"Where are you riding to at this time little mischievous girl," Roman said.

"Last time I checked sir I do not owe you any explanation about my whereabouts after working hours" Scarlet said then pulled over.

"What do you want with me joseph and what exactly are your plans?" Roman said.

Scarlet wasn't surprised that he found out about her visit to Mr Joseph he kept tabs on his shareholders, and she was sure Mr. Joseph didn't snitch on her, what annoyed her was this show of power he was doing right now.

"I believe you are not expecting an answer from me, Mr Roman, if that would be all I have to end this call cause I have a lot to do" Scarlet said.

"Let me rephrase..what do you want with my shareholder's scarlet Amelia Finn?" Roman said this time his voice had a scary depth to it.

"And you think I'll answer that?" Scarlet said as her brows knitted together in a frown.

"First you wanted to marry Zack now you are going around seeing my shareholders.. I wouldn't want to believe you are against me.. first you deprived me of seeing my child and now this? Whatever it is you think you are doing you should stop this instant scarlet" Roman said.

"I wouldn't be doing all this if you weren't a two-faced bastard Roman this is all your fault..you have no right to tell me what to do!" Scarlet said angrily.

"Two-faced bastard?" Roman said.

"Bye, sir. I got to go" Scarlet said and ended the call.

She started her bike and sped off to her next destination, as she rode Roman's words repeated in her head, how dare he act like he was some caring man and he knew what was best for her child, the audacity, she knew all he wanted was to control her the same way he controls everything and she would rather die than let that man control her.

When she got to her destination she parked her bike and made her way over the wall of the mansion of her next tool, when she entered the compound she silently moved through the garden that led to the window of the master bedroom, she had been to this place so many time thy she knew it like the back of her hands.

The gardens with their tall flowers had CCTV cameras in them and tear gas canisters on the floor to prevent intruders from making it close to the house, after successfully getting out of the garden kkScarlet climbed into the house through the window.

When she got inside she made her way upstairs to the master's bedroom, she picked up the lock and entered the room, immediately she entered the room a knife was thrown at her head which she dodged successfully.

"I see you are as alert as always Mrs. Sakura" Scarlet said.

Mrs. Sakura was a Japanese woman who was indebted to Scarlet, she was powerful maybe the most powerful woman Scarlet knew and making her an ally was the first thing Scarlet did when she embarked on this mission, unlike the rest Mrs. Sakura knew her as Davina.

"I sensed you from a mile away Davina" Mrs. Sakura said.

"Konbanwa" Scarlet greeted and bowed.

"Ai I see you learnt from our last meeting" Mrs. Sakura said.

"Only a fool will come into your territory without manners," Scarlet said.

"What brings you here?" Mrs Sakura asked with her arms crossed on her chest.

"It's time," Scarlet said.

"Last time I checked it's not Davina...care to explain why you are bringing it forward" Mrs. Sakura said.

"Sofia she's in danger and he can't protect her from the people coming for her" Scarlet said.

"I offered her protection many years ago Davina you declined now you turn everything upside down cause you can't protect her anymore," Mrs Sakura said.

"He's coming for her and the last thing I'll do is ever allow him access to her, so I want to end this so after everything I can take her as far away from him as possible and he wouldn't be able to find her" Scarlet said.

"As I said many years ago... destroying her father isn't the best way to protect her.. your enemy isn't Roman it's him," Mrs. Sakura said.

"He is my father... and you know I am not strong enough to fight him fact all of us put together can't" Scarlet said.

"That's the problem you overestimate him and underestimate us all...Roman can..you can. I can. we can bring him down if you want us to" Mrs. Sakura said.

"Are you for me or against me?" Scarlet said.

"I always keep my word...I will always be for you for your mother's sake" Mrs Sakura said.

"Thank you. oyasumi nasai" Scarlet said and bowed once again then left just as she came.

"Troubled child" Mrs. Sakura said to herself.

As Scarlet rode to her last destination Mrs. Sakura's words repeated in her head, of course, she was never in support of her plans from the beginning but she stayed loyal to her, what she was suggesting was suicidal, going against her father would be signing her death warrant hers and Sofia's, she would rather stick to his plan than loose what she loved the most on earth.

The last destination was that of a man she held in high esteem and of course, he was also indebted to her, when she arrived at his place as always it was covered with fog, scarlet covered her nose with a mask and went into the fog, she pressed the bell in the way they had both agreed and the humongous gate pulled open.

Scarlet climbed on her bike and rode into the compound, the mansion was twenty kilometres away from the gate and the path to it was surrounded by trees.

When she reached the mansion parked her bike and went into the house, as always she was scrutinised by the security cameras and also the AI that acted as security personnel in the house, she was told to remove all her weapons which she did and then made her way upstairs.

"Hello little one" Diego said.

"Hello Mr. Diego....it's time" Scarlet said.

"I thought as much when I heard that bell but are you ready?" He asked

"More than ever, "Scarlet said.

Even though she knew perfectly well that the last thing she was was ready for this battle, she had no choice, she had to end it all now before it was too late, she had to for Sofia's sake.

"Well things just became interesting," Mr. Diego said then took a long drag on his cigar.
