Chapter 24

"Thank you," Scarlet said as she got out of the car.

The ride from Zack's island to the city was a very quiet one for Scarlet, all she did in the jet was brainstorm on what next to do, Even though everything was moving faster than she had planned she could as well take advantage of it all. When they landed in the city Roman insisted that one of his drivers drop her off at her place and it was another quiet ride for Scarlet.

Scarlet let out a breathe when she entered her house, the sweet homely fragrance of her house always had a way of calming her nerves, She dropped her luggage in the sitting room and made her way to the bedroom, Roman had given her a day off so she had whole of tomorrow to unpack.

As fast as she could she undressed and went into the bathroom where she prepared a warm bath for herself, when she was done she soaked herself in the bath, and as the warm water soaked her skin every nerve in her body relaxed, she let out a breath of relief as the water did its work.

Slowly she went dipper into the bath until she was submerged in the water, She stayed underwater for a while, and then unwanted memories began surfacing in her head, memories she didn't wish to remember.

"You are a fraud!"

"If you don't do it I'll kill her!"

"Scarlet? Or should I say, Davina, you little brat!"

"I'll kill her!"

"I'll kill her!"

"Please no! Please don't!"

"Please don't!"

"I'll do anything!"

"I'll do anything!!" Scarlet screamed as she came out of the water.

Her heart began to race as she struggled to breathe, She crawled out of the bath gasping for air, those nightmares that haunted her at night were becoming real even in the daytime now.

After a few minutes of calming herself down and reminding herself that they were just nightmares, Scarlet did a breathing exercise that she always did whenever she had these panic attacks, she got up from the ground and went over to her sink where she stared at her reflection in the mirror.

"You are okay scarlet," she said to her reflection in the mirror.

She picked up her towel and dried her body with it then went straight to bed, She preferred sleeping naked because it had a way of helping her sleep better, She turned off the light and closed her eyes and a few minutes later sleep claimed her, and as always the nightmares came.

"Mr. Roman you need to let her go, What if she's not the one And besides I think it's time you let it go," Alexa said to Roman when they drove into the parking lot of the penthouse.

"Call Greg I need him here now, and I don't care what you think Alexa, she's the one, Call Greg" Roman said and got out of the car.

He knew he didn't have any concrete evidence to hold onto Scarlet but he had a gut feeling that she was the lady from ten years ago, she had to be.

"I've called Mr Greg and he is on his way, am sorry sir for earlier," Alexa said as she followed him into the house.

Roman Black CEO of Black Empire a company that dealt in Cars, Hotels, exotic Wineries, Gold and Diamond Mining and Real Estate everything relating to luxury was owned by the black empire, with his exotic cars and five start Hotels and resorts across the world Roman Black Became the most Richest Man on the Forbes Magazine with a Net-worth Running in trillions.

But there was something about Roman black that many didn't know, he was also the king of the Night world, who owned many Casinos, Night clubs and was the drug lord of the south and west, Roman black was also a dangerous man, a man that was meant to be feared.

"Don't ever do that again" Roman said to Alexa then kissed her mercilessly.

Of course, she was his plaything, she had been for eighteen years now, One thing he liked about her was that she knew her place and whenever she stepped out of line he made sure he punished her for it.

Roman was not just a handsome billionaire who worked so hard to get to where he was now, to the world he was an inspiration, but Roman was also a very heartless and Dangerous man, a man who would do anything to get what he wanted, but ten years ago someone broke down his walls, broke the heartless man he was, showed him another side of him that he never knew excited then ran away and it made him even more ruthless.

He bent Alexa over immediately after they entered the house and ripped off her pants, then he began placing merciless kisses at the back of her neck, leaving little bites also, but then the face of a beautiful woman appeared in his head and it made him loose interest in whatever he was about to do.

"Please don't stop, please," Alexa said.

"Call Greg and tell him to come over first thing tomorrow morning, I can't see him tonight am going out," Roman said and left to his room leaving a half-naked Alexa hanging at the door.

"Sure" Alexa whispered under her breath in disappointment.

As the warm water washed over Roman's body in the shower the face of that woman kept coming to his head, and it was frustrating, There was something about her eyes, he could never forget those eyes that weakened him ten years ago, they were the same eyes, even though she had a mask on ten years ago he knew those eyes and those lips, He knew she was the one and he was going to do everything in his power to prove it because without any doubt he knew one thing was for sure.

She bore his child after that day and he was going to find that child.
