Chapter 23

"Well I found out that Luisa has a thing for you and she's ready to kill her brother to protect you," Scarlet said and rolled her eyes, The fact that a woman was ready to go to such an extent for a man who would never see her in that way was annoying.

"Old news tells me something new," Roman said.

"How- you know she means it right?" Scarlets said.

"She's been saying the same thing for five years now, Tell me something tangible Finn" Roman said.

"Oh... I didn't know that, Also Jack wants me to marry him so he can destroy you and I don't know how marrying me does that" Scarlet said.

"Still old news, you know what? Pack your bags We leave in twenty minutes the jet will be here soon" Roman said and left the room.

Scarlet let out a breath and made her way to the closet where she pulled out her luggage, but as she was about to bring out her clothes from the wardrobe there was a knock on her door, This time around Scarlet rolled her eyes, the last thing she needed right now was another meaningless conversation with Roman.

"Who's there?" Scarlet asked before pulling the door open.

"Michelle ma'am"

"Come in," Scarlet said and left the door open.

"Am here to pack your luggage ma'am" Michelle said in her usual enthusiastic manner.

"When did you arrive?" Scarlet asked.

"A few minutes ago with the jet," Michelle said as she folded the clothes in the bag.

"Where have you been?"

"I've been working from the hotel ma'am," Michelle said.

"Thanks," Scarlet said and sat on the bed.

"You know... I think you should marry him to save us all" Michelle said softly but it gained Scarlet attention.

"What?" Scarlet asked confused.

"You need to marry Zack to save us all," Michelle said more audible this time.

"How?-why?-how do you know about Zack's marriage proposal?" Scarlet said stuttering a little.

"You are the only one with your heads in the cloud you know, Marrying him will help you achieve your goals faster Scarlet or should I say, Davina Maria Fernando," Michelle said but this time her usual cheerful smile was gone and was replaced with something malicious that scared scarlet.

"Wh-at-who-who-who on earth are you?" Scarlet asked stuttering a little which was becoming a habit recently.

"Someone that's here to speed up the process cause you are too slow for my liking, You need to marry Zack not just for your sake Davina but for her sake too," Michelle said.

"How do you know about her?" Scarlet asked calmly.

Whenever she was mentioned all of scarlets six senses waking up, she would do anything to protect her even if it meant killing anyone who stood as a threat to her, at first she was surprised by Michelle's change of demeanour but then she remembered the world she lived in, a world where nothing is as it seems, but when Michelle brought her up scarlet realized she was a bigger threat than she had presumed and underestimating whoever this Michelle was would be a big mistake.

"Marry Zack in two weeks so you don't need to ask that question again," Michelle said and dragged the bag to the door.

"Then if you truly know me, you should know that I don't take a threat lightly and I have never been someone that can be controlled, so thread carefully Michelle if that's even your name," Scarlet said.

"I know but not when she's involved see you in the jet ma'am" Michelle said with a smile plastered on her face.

When Michelle left Scarlet began to pace the room, Everyone was showing their true colours something she didn't anticipate in any way, Zack had proven to be a bigger problem than she ever thought Clearly she underestimated the bastard but then again she didn't get to this point just so she could be bullied or bend to someone else's plan or become a tool in someone's plans, in other to beat these people she had to be one step ahead of them if they can boldly threaten her with her then they were a real threat she had to take care of.

She searched the room just to make sure she wasn't forgetting anything, afterwards, she picked up her phone and jacket and left the room, when she got downstairs everyone was gathered together saying their goodbyes, Luisa was throwing herself at Roman and he was enjoying it, the smirk on his face said it all and somehow it stirred a kind of jealousy inside scarlet.

"Am ready," Scarlet said coming in between Roman and Luisa separating them.

"Let's go," Roman said with a smirk on his face.

"If you want him dead call me" Scarlet whispered in Luisa's ear and gave her a card, She needed as many Allies as she could get if she wanted to take down Zack and his minions.

"Sure," Luisa said.

"Bye for now," Scarlet said.

"Scarlet we need to talk," Zack said behind her startling her a little.

Scarlet followed him out of the house to where the jet was parked waiting for them.

"What do you want?" Scarlet asked with a frown on her face and her arms crossed on her chest.

"I don't want to get on your bad side but I need you to just comply with me please... trust me that jerk deserves this after everything he did to my family, am not going to kill him cause I know you need him alive, just do this with me scarlet" Zack said.

"If you truly know me then you should know I have never done what anyone wanted, I am not someone you use to achieve your goals," Scarlet said with a rising temper.

"I know that's why I brought you here, you get fifty per cent of his wealth isn't that good enough?" Zack said.

"I don't need anything from you Zack, and you better thread carefully cause me as Scarlet or Davina ever you call me is a dangerous person you shouldn't mess with, am not called the scarlet witch for nothing, and tell your little minion that I'll give her a painful death when next she breathes a word about this stupid marriage around me... Don't push me Zack trust me I can become your worst nightmare" Scarlet said.

"I know I can't touch you scarlet at least not now... but I wouldn't approach you if I didn't know how to control you scarlet..... I know where she is and that's enough to rail you in so think about it" Zack said with a smirk on his face.

"Then let's see who gets to laugh last Zack lay a finger on her hair and watch me burn everything to the ground," Scarlet said and entered the jet.

If they were going to fight her and threaten her then they should be ready for whatever the consequences were, things were becoming interesting even for her.
