Marlow had been living with Steve for the past 2 years, a couple months after she and her mum had left Steve and there dad Marlow's mum had started drinking, Marley had ran away.
"Steve I'm going to Mikes." Marlow said coming in to the kitchen "we've got to finish our campaign, I'll try and not get home to late." She added
"No worries." He says "have fun, just remember it's a school night." He reminds
"I know." Marlow agreed "we don't want to ruin the flow of the game though." She added leaving the house.
Marlow sat in the basement of Mike Wheelers house, of course they were playing D&D what else would they be doing?
"Somethings coming" said Mike who was hiding behind his dungeon masters book.
"Something hungry for blood," he said trying his best to keep the tension. "A shadow grows on the wall behind you, swallowing in darkness, it is almost here."
"What is it?" Asked Will
"What if it's the demogorgon?!" Dustin says "Jesus we're so screwed if its the demogorgon."
"Its not the demogorgon!" Lucas says.
"I don't think it is" Marley says
"An army of troglodytes charge into the chamber!" Mike reveals.
"Troglodytes?" Asked Dustin
"Told ya." Lucas says
"Wait, do you hear that?" Mike asked from behind the board "That sound," he continues he makes a noise that makes them all jump.
"No that didn't come from the troglodytes no it came from something else." Mike tries to hold the tension, keeping you all on the edge of your chair. "The demogorgon!" Mike presents as he slams a figure onto the board.
Dustin sighs and yells "we're in deep shit."
"Will your action!" Mike yells to him
"I don't know?" Will looks at them all for answers.
"Fireball him!" Lucas yelled
"I'd have to roll a 13 or higher."
"Too risky. cast a protection spell." Says Dustin
"don't be a pussy fireball him." Lucas says back. While Dustin gave him a deathly stare.
"Cast protection" Dustin repeats to Will.
"No fireball." Lucas demands.
"Lucas let Will choose what he wants!" Marlow says to him. Making Lucas sigh.
"The Demogorgon is tired of your silly human bickering! it stomps towards you! BOOM!" Mike yells.
Fireball!" Lucas yells at Will.
"Another stomp! BOOM!"
"Cast production." Dustin yells
"He roars in anger!" Yelled Mike
Will starts panicking and picks up the dice and yells the first thing that came to his mind. "FIREBALL!" Will yells. They all watched the dice bounce onto the table and falls off. "Oh, shit!"
"Where'd it go? What is it?" Marlow asks.
"I don't know." Will answers.
"Is it a 13?" Questions Dustin
"I don't know!" Will says again
"Oh, my god! Oh, my god! Oh, my god!" Dustin yelled As they all start searching for the dice Mike's mother Karen Wheeler yells down to them all.
"Mike, Mike" she yells.
"Can you find it yet?" Lucas asked
"No, I can't find it."
"Mike!" Karen yells again
"Oh, my god! Oh, my god!" Dustin yells again
"Mom we're in the middle of a campaign!" Mike complains.
"You mean the end?" She reply's making them all laugh. "Fifteen after!" She announces tapping her watch. As Mike rushed upstairs to try make a deal with her.
"Oh my god freakin idiot!" Exclaims Lucas
"Why do we have to go?" Will asks
Meanwhile Marlow, Dustin, Lucas and Will search for the lost dice. After a few minutes Will finds it.
"I got it!" He announces. "Does the 7 count?"
"It was a 7? Did Mike see it?" Lucas questions.
"No." Will reply's shaking his head
"Then it doesn't count." Marlow says
"There's something wrong with your sister,"
Dustin says to Mikeas he comes out the door to where the rest of the party was. Dustin throws the pizza box in the trash.
"What?" Mike says confused.
"Shes got a stick up her butt," Dustin says as he gets on his bike
"Yeah because she's been dating your brother." Mike says turning to Marlow
"Yeah she's turning into a real jerk." Dustin continues.
"She has always been a real jerk." Mike argues. Marlow gave mike a dirty look
"She used to be cool." Dustin continues.
"Like that time she dressed up as a elf for put eldertree free campaign!" Dustin says making everyone smile.
"Four years ago!" Mike reminds him.
"Just saying," Dustin argues
"Later." Lucas says climbing on his bike
"See you tomorrow" Marlow says as she climbed on her bike as
"It was a seven," Marlow hears Will say to Mike. "I rolled a seven, the demogorgon it got me."
"Oh." Mike reply's.
"See you tomorrow." Will says following Marlow, Dustin and Lucas as the lights flicker on Mike's garage. They cycle down the road heading home, Lucas is the first to go.
"goodnight ladies," he says to them all making Marley smirk.
"Kiss your mom night for me," Dustin reply's making Marlow and Will laugh.
"Race back to my place?" He offers them both.
"Sure!" they both say at the same time.
"Do I get a comic if i win?" Will asks.
"Yeah." Dustin answers.
Immediately Will starts pedalling faster getting ahead of Marlow and Dustin
"HEY" Dustin yells as Marlow starts going faster taking over Dustin.
"GET BACK HERE!" He yells to them both "IM GOING TO KILL YOU!"
"Ill take your x-men 134!" Will yells to Dustin as he passes his house.
"Son of a bitch!" They hear Dustin yell.
After a few minutes Marlow and Will pass Marlows house.
"Bye Will!" She yells as Will turns his head and smiles at her
"Nigh Marley!" He yells as he continues down the road to his home.
