Chapter 17

Will was back there, The Upside Down. He knew he wasn't really there and it was all in his head, it felt too real for him though. He tried calling for Marlow to see if she could hear him.

"Marlow! Marley!" He shouted. Then he heard a noise, it was like a chitter. It came from all around him but will couldn't see what caused it.

Suddenly a large figure grew ahead of Will . It was like a shadow, he saw it the night before. But this time it was closer too him. It grew and it was taller than a skyscraper. It had several shadow like arms and one started heading for him.

Will started running, he didn't know where too, he just ran. He came upon some stairs and ran down and sat in a corner will held himself in his arms and closed his eyes praying for help.
Marley came back around the path to see Will running off, he had dropped the camera and his pillow case. Marlow knew something was wrong. She started running after him, fighting through a small crowd and ignoring her friends calling too. Marlow followed him down the stairs and found him sitting down holding himself. She heard Mike following after her.

"WILL!" Marley exclaimed shaking him. He opened his eyes and started looking around but he calmed down when he saw her face.

"Are you okay?" Marley questioned.

"Are you hurt?" Mike questioned holding the camera and his pillow case and came down next to Marley and Will.

Marley pulled Will in for a hug calming him down as Dustin, Lucas and Max came running down the stairs.

"Holy shit!" Dustin exclaimed.

"Is he okay?" Lucas questioned.

"I don't know." Mike replied.

"We're gonna get you home okay." Marley said to Will as she and mike helped him up.

Will looked shook, he kept looking around him and made whimpering sounds. Marley put her arm over his shoulder and Mike did the same, Dustin came to help but Mike stopped him.

"Mike come on let me help." Dustin said.

"Keep trick-or-treating I'm bored anyways." Mike sighed then brought Will up the stairs with her. As they walked up the stairs Mike passed Marley the camera and Will's pillowcase.

"You take these and I'll hold Will, lets go back to my place." Marley and Mike didn't talk to each other they just helped Will along the way. When they finally reached Mike's house they went in through his basement door. They all sat on the sofa in Mike's basement and had some candy then Will began talking about what happened.

"Its like I'm stuck." He stuttered.

"Like stuck in the Upside Down?" Mike questioned.

"No. You know on a View-Master, when it gets like-" Will started.

"Caught between two slides?" Mike questioned.
"Yeah like that. Like one sides our world and the other... The other side is the Upside Down." Will said they all sat in silence for a bit. "And there was this noise coming from everywhere. And then i saw something."

"The demogorgon?" Mike suggested.
"No. It was like this huge shadow in the sky. Only it was alive. And it was coming for me." Will stuttered.

"Is this real? Or is it like the doctors say all in your head?" Mike questioned.

"I don't know just... Just please don't tell the others okay? They wont understand." Will pleaded looking at Marlow and Mike.

"Eleven would." Mike sighed.

"Really?" Will asked.

"Yeah she would." Marley replied.

"She always did. Just like how Marley always does. Sometimes I feel like i still see her. Like she's still around, but she never is." Mike sighed.
