Chapter 6

They raced down the road following the police and the ambulance. When the cars stopped Marley dropped her bike and went to the back of a fire truck as the boys showed up a few seconds later. There were multiple emergency vehicles parked around the lake almost covering there sight. They watched as Hopper ran to the lake. Marley looked around to see a body they were pulling out from the river. 'No it cant be' she thought. She saw the body wearing the same exact thing they had last seen Will in, a red and yellow ski jacket and jeans. She felt her heart shatter into a thousand pieces and tears started falling out your eyes.

"Its not Will it cant be" Mike said as Marlow fell to your knees.

"Its Will...its really Will" Lucas said tears starting to fall out his eyes.

Marlow couldn't resist herself. She stood up and tried running to Will but Dustin held her back before she could, he pulled her into a hug as she cried into his shoulder feeling a few tears from Dustin drop on her head.
Eleven looked at Mike and before she could speak he began yelling at her.

"You were supposed to help us find him alive! What is wrong with you what is wrong with you!" Mike ran over to his bike and started riding away while Lucas called out to him.
Marley couldn't even look at Eleven she had gotten all there hopes up for nothing, Dustin walked Marley home he had one hand over her shoulder and the other on his bike. Lucas brought Eleven to Mike's house and left her in his basement. When Dustin and Marley reached Marley houses she didn't even care that she weren't supposed to be out, she ran in and rushed to her room, and cried your eyes out into her pillow. She have never been so upset in her life. Steve appeared in the doorway, Marley looked up and Steve came over to her and lay down next to her, Marley wrapped her arms around his waste, she buried her head in her chest, tears still falling and her face was red from crying.

"He's gone." Marley cried "wills dead."

Marley opened her eyes the next morning to see Steve lying next to her. He spoke to her in a soft and calm voice

"hey kid how are you? If you want you don't have to go to school today you can stay home?"

"Im ok, thank you Steve" she replied as she watched Steve leave her room. About twenty minutes since Steve had left Marley heard the static sound from her walkie followed by Dustin's voice,

"Marley are you there?"

"Yeah I'm here" she responds

"Marley come to Mike's I'll meet you at my house over."

"I'm not in the mood today Dustin"

"He said its about Will over"

"What about Will?" Marlow replied now interested.

"Just hurry, over and out"

She grabbed her bag with the usual. She changed into your jeans and a purple and white sweater, she put on her bag and started to ride to Dustin's house. When they made it to Mike's they went in through the back and made there way down into the basement to find Lucas and Mike sitting in front of Eleven. They all watched as she played around with Mike's walkie until they heard whimpering that sounded a bit like Will.

"We keep losing the signal, but you heard it right? Mike asked.

"Yeah i heard a baby." Lucas replied.

"What?" Mike said glaring at Lucas.

"Mike you obviously tapped into a baby monitor. Probably the Blackburn's next door." Lucas says back.

"Did that sound like a baby to you? That was Will" Mike says with attitude.

"Mike-" Lucas begins

"Lucas you don't understand he spoke last night words! He was singing that weird song he likes, Even El heard him" Said Mike interrupting.

"Well if the weirdo heard him then-" Lucas said sarcastically before Dustin cut him off.

"Are you sure your on the right channel?" He asked.

"I don't think its about that i think somehow she's channeling him." Mike answered.

"Like professor x" said Dustin making Mike and him smile.

"Are you actually believing this crap?" Lucas said to Dustin.

"I don't know, you remember that time Will fell off his bike and broke his finger? It sounded a lot like that.." Dustin replied.

"Did you guys not see what i saw? They pulled Will body out of the water he's dead! And besides you saw how Marley reacted lets not get her hopes up again." Lucas said yelling at Mike and Dustin who remained quiet for a while.

"Maybe its his ghost maybe he's haunting us?" Dustin suggested.

"Its not his ghost" Mike replied.

"And how do you know that" Lucas asked Mike bringing his sarcastic voice back.

"I just do."

"Then what was in that water?!"

'I don't know. All i know i Will is alive Will is alive!" Mike finished looking at them all "He's out there somewhere all we have to do is find him." Eleven continued playing with the walkie, until Mike spoke again taking the walkie off Eleven.

"This isn't gonna work we need to get El to a stronger radio."

Marley and Dustin smiled at each other "Mr. Clarke's heath kit ham shack" they both say at the same time and Mike nods in agreement.

"The heath kits at school there's no way we are gonna get the weirdo in there without anyone noticing. I mean look at her. Lucas says turning Marley and Dustin down as they all look at Eleven.

They all begin to try and make Eleven look like a normal Hawkins middle student, Marley and Mike took her upstairs to rummage through Nancy's room to find something they could use, while Lucas and Dustin tried looking for something she could wear. As they rummaged through Nancy's room they found her makeup box and started to apply some blush and lip gloss to Eleven. Dustin and Lucas came up later holding a pink dress with a blonde wig and they all waited outside as Eleven changed into the dress. When she came out she looked perfect in the dress and the wig suited her perfectly, they looked at Mike and knew he was in love with her.

"Wow she looks-" Dustin started to say before Mike finished his sentence for him.

"Pretty." He said gazing at Eleven before he realised what he said "good... you look pretty good".

Marley and Lucas weren't falling for it they both stared at Mike and watched as he followed Eleven to the mirror as she looked at herself and smiled "pretty... good."
