It felt like yesterday, when Mikasa's Aunt Kuchel was walking in her room, shaking her awake to get up and greet their new neighbors.

She remembered vividly how she just wanted to sleep, how the next day would be the start and finish of her years in schools.

But now, she's so grateful for her Aunt for making her do it, she's so grateful for The Jäegar's and Sakura for moving next door.

She's so grateful that the love of her life, came and swooped her in his arms, taking her heart and holding it in his hands forever.

6 years later, she's getting Married, only 25 years old, with a daughter and a soon to be husband.

"Mommy" Elayna said from beneath the blankets of Mikasa's bed.

They were waiting for Eren, together they were going to watch a movie, Tangled actually, Elayna had been bugging them.

"Yes?" Mikasa asked.

"We're Asian right?" She asked.

"Yes, you're half Asian." Mikasa answered.

"Where in Asia are we from?" Elayna asked.

"Japan" Mikasa says.

"Is Cousin Sarada and Sasuke Asian to?" She asks.

"Yes"

"But Daddy and Cousin Sakura aren't?" Elayna asked.

"Yup, they're American." Mikasa says. "Technically me and Sasuke are American, but we're Asian American, so are you. What made you ask?"

"Oh nothing really." Elayna said.

"No tell me, you can tell me anything." Mikasa said bringing Elayna close to her.

"Well...remember...those little notes...those kids..wrote Sarada?" Elayna asks.

"The kids who were suspended for bullying and wishing death upon her? Yes."

"Well...one of them called me, a rice ball. I punched them." She said.

"Elayna...what have I told you about fighting?" Mikasa says.

"They said...that Rice balls belong in Asia..am I supposed to be in Japan?" She asks.

"No, you were born here, you belong here with me and your father, yes Asia, Japan is one of your many homes, you have a life you haven't seen in a minute back there but you were born and raised here." Mikasa said. "So the next time one of those little racist shits call you rice ball, tell them that."
