ok you know the song achilles come down by gang of youths?? i originally wrote that it reminds me of delta or he would listen to it, but now that I'm thinking about it, the lyrics are perfect describing shu/red eye in evolution. think about it, these are the lyrics:

the lyrics are about shu's struggle to remain himself even after succumbing to ashtem's testing and transforming into red eye. he regrets what he has done and is struggling with himself at the time. its shu's personal thoughts attacking him for going through what he has gone through. even though he regrets it all, it doesn't change the fact of what he's done. he's trying to tell himself that he deserves nothing, that he's not worthy of those around him.
then the other part, the part in parenthesis, is valt, trying to convince him that he is worth more than his actions, they are still friends and nothing will change that. he was brainwashed and didn't realize what he was doing until it was too late. valt is trying to convince shu that he shouldn't listen to his negative intrusive thoughts.
that was unnecessarily deep and i feel like i just wrote an essay for school, but yeah, those are my thoughts.
