"min! honey, come eat please!" minho's mum called out.

minho immediately got out of his old, squeaky bed and made his way down the small hall and towards the kitchen.

"smells good, mum. what're we having tonight?" minho asked sweetly, sitting down at their two person dinning table.

she smiled and placed down a bowl of ramen.

"surprise?" she laughed guiltily.

minho smiled and picked up his chopsticks, digging in.

she then sighed deeply, catching minho's attention.

he put down the chopsticks and looked up at her.

"are you gonna eat with me?" he asked, his head tilted.

she gracefully raked her fingers through her hair and shook her head.

"i have to go to work. hajoon called in sick and i have to take her place." she said softly, putting on a small smiled.

minho sighed.

"you gotta get a better job, mum! this place is a total scam!" minho said, getting frustrated.

eunwoo nodded her head, humiliated.

"i know, baby... but i just can't... they treat me so well-"

"no they don't! you're a literal stripper, mum! they treat you like slaves! they take away seventy five percent of your tips! they're monsters-"

"minho, calm down! please... just eat and finish your homework, okay? make me proud... i'm sorry i can't do the same for you..." she said quietly.

minho's eyes softened and he sighed.

he walked up to her and pulled her into a big hug.

eventually he heard a small sob, muffled from his shoulder.

that made him only hold her tighter.

"i'm sorry-"

she quickly pulled away from him and shook her head immediately.

"no- sweetie, don't be sorry... i know i need to quit..." she sighed.

minho looked at her pitifully.

"i'll try and get a job, okay? so then when you quit we'll still have money while you're looking for another one, okay?" minho said hopefully.

she smiled and shook her head.

"i can't make you do that-"
