Oh gods, here we go again-

And yes, this took a while-I have a lot going on

Oh, and this is a direct continuation of the first flashback, so read it first for context if you'd like.

I look over at Edward. "You think we should go check it out?" I ask. Edward nods in response...and curses under his breath. "If I had my weapons..." he mutters. I roll my eyes. "You have your fists, shut up..."

I go up to my room, Edward following me...and I see Connor and Haytham...bickering...for the love of the Nornir...more overgrown children? I groan a bit and look at the rest of the Kenway family...and then I look over at Edward. "Those two are part of your family...the guy in the tricorn's your son and the guy in the Assassin robes that look like yours is your grandson..."

He looks shocked... "That's a lot to take in...what happened to my son? He doesn't look like an Assassin to me..."

I grind my teeth. "I'll talk later, gotta deal with the rest of your family being overgrown toddlers..."

Connor notices me...and I get a tomahawk in my direction. "Where is Charles Lee?" he asks. I grumble something in Polish and look at the two guys now in my room... "Sit your ass down, you two..."

The two grumble and sit down...and they're glaring at each other. "Hey...I'm Ash, that blondie over there is Edward. Haytham, that's your dad, Connor, that's your grandpa. Don't ask me how you got here..."

"My father is dead..." Haytham seems to have a lot of emotion in his voice while he says that, and I know he thinks Edward's dead...I've read Assassin's Creed Forsaken cover to cover at least ten times (Note: Haven't had the chance yet, I'll get to it)... "What makes you think I'll believe you? For all I know, you could be lying and trying to kill me..."

I sigh and pinch the bridge of my nose. "He's your dad...just different from how you remember him...he's younger, in his early twenties...and he's more...raucous than what you saw as a kid."

Connor gives me a questioning look...he seemed to have taken this better than Haytham, that's for sure. I shrug at him and turn back to Haytham. "Haytham, if you don't calm down, I will put insulin under your tongue."

Haytham recognizes the veiled threat and sighs, taking a few breaths. "I don't know what in the name of God insulin is, but I'll assume it's bad..."

"Well...it's supposed to be a medicine, but as Leonardo da Vinci said, 'In high enough doses, that which can cure, can kill.' He's right..."

"I never recalled him saying that..." Edward says. "Are you just giving us bullshit?"

I sigh, pinching the bridge of my nose. "In the game, you idiot..." I look over at Haytham and Connor and give them both a look. "Weapons. Now." I say, sounding stern.

"WHAT?!" Both Haytham and Connor yell this at the same time, surprised.

"Hey, lads...I did it, so it's only fair you do it, too...and besides, I don't think any of us want to see Ash here mad..." Edward says while holding his hands up, trying to resolve this.

"What, do you have a crush on Ash or something?" Connor asks...he's clearly making a joke to lighten the mood. I mumble so many Polish curses that my babcia would faint if she heard them...and Edward goes red. Like, beet red. "I... uh..." he seems to be at a loss for words, trying to find a lie. I give Edward a look and chuckle a little bit. "Your face looks like a stain from my babcia's borscht..."

"What is this 'babcia'?" Haytham asks, butchering the accent...of course. I pinch the bridge of my nose for a second and look at the posh taco hat man. "You got the accent wrong...but it means grandma."

Haytham snorts a bit, and he's chuckling under his breath. I mumble some more curses in Polish under my breath as I give the two a death glare. "Weapons, before I grab a pair of Edward's pistols. Got it?"

Haytham and Connor nod and dispose of all their weapons. I whistle a bit as I see Connor's tomahawk. I hold it in my hand and it's perfect for throwing...the balance was just superb. Getting out of my own little world where I weigh tomahawks, I pick the rest of the weapons up. "Edward, take Haytham's weapons," I say as I pick up all of Connor's weapons. "I got Connor's arsenal...I think."

"Wait...why are you letting him carry it?" Connor asks. I sigh and look at Connor. "Although my time with Edward was short, I trust him the most out of all three of you...and that's saying something, as I don't trust easily."

"Well...why do you trust him the most out of all three of us?" Connor asks. I sigh and look over at him. "Can we talk where the other two won't hear us?"

Connor nods and I gesture for him to follow me to the living room...thank the gods I had the place soundproofed by room. "Okay, so...the real reason I trust Edward more than you is...well...I have a bit of a crush on him..." I sigh and go a little red as I watch Connor's reaction. He looks shocked for a moment, but then bursts out laughing. "Oh God..." he says as he takes a few breaths. "I could tell..."

I feel my face burn and I tense a bit, too. "What?! How could you tell?"

Connor smirks and he leans against the wall behind him. "You seemed...a bit attached to Edward, to be honest. LIke you didn't want him to leave...and like you just wanted to be as close to him as possible..." his smirk widens a bit, and I have a feeling I know what he's going to say. "Are you clingy, Ash?"

I go a little red and give Connor a bit of a glare. "Are you serious? No, I'm not...I'm more of a stoic person...why do you ask?"

He snorts and that smug smirk on his face widens. "Not around Edward, you're not...you like to be close to him." Connor says this with a bit of a knowing glint in his eye, and I look away feeling more heat on my face.

"I'm not clingy..." I grumble. "I just...I have an emotional attachment to certain books. That's as clingy as I get."

Connor chuckles and he's still smirking at me. I sigh and shake my head. "Let's just get back to the other two of your family...and hope they haven't broken anything."

Connor laughs and nods. "That's for the best...my father is probably annoying my grandfather with talk of the Templars."

I smile a bit. "Most likely...Haytham can be annoying as fuck."
