Lian's POV

Fuck!

I throw my phone against helicopter's wall.

Soon assistant Huang brings me another one.

"How long has it been since we last contacted Lee?"

"43 min, sir. Not even Commander Lee, Khun Pete or Khun Porsche can be reached, sir."

"How long to reach the destination?

"1 hour, sir."

"Do it faster."

"Thai government radars may find the incursion suspicious, sir."

"I don't care."

"Right, sir"

"You may leave."

In front of me the laptop screen is open.

After so many years I couldn't believe what appeared in the history of orders against the white clan when I accessed the chess room.

Have I been fooled?!

I open a black velvet box Khun Kan gave me and look to the object shining inside it.

On behalf of all the love and consideration he has shown me over the years, I believed everything Khun Kan told me the last time we saw each other in Taipei.

I never doubted that he didn't kill my parents.

I did everything he told me to do as his last request before his suicidal confrontation with his older brother.

I could have helped him. But he didn't want me to. He just made me promise him I would fulfill that one last request.

And I trusted who he told me to trust.

And now this. Why?!

I didn't think I would step foot on that island so soon.

The assassination order against Pete has been cancelled.

But another arose in its place.

...

Vegas' POV

"Get out, Nop!" I take the helm.

I increase the speed of the boat.

"For the Buddha's sake, brother. You're going to capsize this speedboat on sea.

"Why are you here again?"

"Hey, don't be ungrateful...If Phi Pete is mad at you, you will need some time alone with him, isn't it?!" Macau winks at me. "We're sticking with Venice, otherwise you don't stand a chance."

"Right...thanks, Macau."

Yes, I am grateful for my little brother's attention and his willingness to help me reconcile with Pete. But I don't know if a little time will be enough for Pete to hear and forgive me.
