At first, the idea of being on an island, forced to kill each other was scary. At first... because no murders have happened, even after being on the island for over a month. Byakuya had ensured no murders occurred, or that anyone felt pressured or motivated to murder. Basically, Monokuma's plan had failed, but still wasn't letting anyone leave.

Becoming friends with each other on the island, all of you became a close-knit group. Some people became friends with others, some becoming even more. It was really satisfying to see Peko and Fuyuhiko finally get together.

As for you, you had a crush on the group's pervert Kazuichi. He wasn't as bad as Teruteru though; perhaps that's why you don't see it as too much of a negative. Or maybe you just didn't care because he never made those comments about you.

Even after a month none of your classmates could figure out if you were part of the guys or the girls. Your cabin wasn't alongside any of the groups, and anytime you all went to the beach you wore a swimming shirt and shorts. Honestly, you were happy that they didn't know... Mainly because you didn't know yourself. You were still figuring out how you wanted to identify, so you didn't want others to categorize you before you came to your own conclusion.

Back to your crush on Kazuichi however, it hurt you to see a majority of his comments be about Sonia. It was obvious that he liked her more than the other girls on the island. Even so, he ended up spending most of his time with you. You two had become great friends, hanging out more often than not. Part of you wonders if it's because he enjoys your company, or if it's because Gundham occupies Sonia's attention.

The two of you were at the beach alongside the rest of your classmates. Some were in the water, while others stayed on the sand. A beach volleyball game was being set up, while others snacked on some food Teruteru had cooked up. Despite all the fun activities going on, you and Kazuichi sat further up on the beach in some beach chairs. You could see what the others were doing, but couldn't really hear what was going on. That was probably for the best, since the two of you were making fun of and insulting the others.

"There Ibuki goes, screaming everything she says. Doesn't she ever get tired of being annoyingly loud?"

You shrugged your shoulders.

"At least she doesn't devour all the food in two seconds. Even with her intense training regime, she's going to gain weight. And what kind of gymnast wants to fight? Does she even know what gymnastics is?"

The both of you went on for some time like this. When Chiaki came up to invite you both to eat or just join them in general, you both denied her swiftly. It wasn't often this happened; the both of you avoided most group activities. Being around all of them was exhausting, not to mention Kazuichi struggled with Sonia's attention never being on him.

Even though you probably knew the answer, you decided to go for it. You really liked Kazuichi, and couldn't hide it any longer. Even so, you figured if you asked normally, you would just be ignored, so...

"Kazuichi, would you like to go out with me?"

Using your impressionist talent, you perfectly copied Sonia's voice. You two had gone quiet for a couple minutes, so Kazuichi was startled with the question. Even more so when he realized it was coming from you and not Sonia.

"Why bring that up all of a sudden? And why speak in Sonia's voice?"

You sigh softly, keeping up the voice as you answer.

"I just figured if you were going to turn me down, I'd at least give you the gift of hearing Sonia confess to you."

Kazuichi frowned, turning his body so that he was giving you his full attention. You were expecting a rejection; what reason did you have to think Kazuichi would accept your confession?

"(Name)... you don't need to speak in Sonia's voice. Your voice is more than enough; you are more than enough."

Kazuichi's words left you speechless, but it was obvious that Kazuichi wasn't done.

"I gotta be honest... The main reason I kept simping for Sonia, even after it was obvious she didn't like me... I was just trying to run from my feelings for you. I figured you wouldn't want to be with someone with me."

You were already left speechless before, but now you were left even more speechless, if that was even possible. He had liked you the whole time?!

"I would love to go out with you... But can I hear the confession in your voice? Please?"

Even though you were still recovering from the shock, it didn't take you too long to get it together. Nodding softly, you gave Kazuichi what he was asking for.

"I love you, Kazuichi... Do you want to go out together?"

Kazuichi nodded.

"Of course. I love you too, (Name)."

Kazuichi reached over to your chair to give you a kiss. You kissed back, your heart welling up with joy. You're glad that you had gathered the courage to confess; if you hadn't perhaps the both of you wouldn't have become a couple...
