5. D-Day is Here

Aby and I got to New York one day before the concert, we got tickets for the first date, and we were so excited. We went shopping for the perfect concert outfits, we had to look stunning for Yoongi (as if he would ever see us in the crowd). We couldn't sleep that night! We were acting like two teenagers before meeting the love of their lives, creating a thousand scenarios where Yoongi does see us yelling out his name as he reads our sign. We carried our signs throughout the airports, customs, flights... everywhere! Mine said

APRIL 26 IS FINALLY HERE! Aby and I couldn't even take a bite of our continental breakfast because all we could do was think about the concert, so we drove out to the venue in a rental as early as we could. Once we got there, I suddenly remembered my concert with my Bae, and tears started to flow down my cheeks. Aby gave me a big hug and instantly knew what made me cry, so she said nothing and just held me tight; she truly is an angel in my life! Tears slowly were left behind and I just smiled remembering my Bae, sending him a huge kiss to the sky.

We got our merch pack, headed to our area, and waited... it seemed forever! But then, FINALLY! THERE'S RAIN ON THE GIANT SCREEN, THUNDERS, AND SCREAMS OF ARMYs GOING CRAZY! LIGHTS GO OUT! Then, there he is! Lying on the floor in the rain, displayed on the screen, showing many of his stages through life along with a melancholic melody. All the stage is dark again when suddenly Haegum starts playing and some dancers appear on stage carrying something, or someone? THERE HE IS! YOONGI! LYING ON STAGE! IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING!

Yoongi is a genius! The whole concert was planned in such a way to make each ARMY live the best day of our lives. Seeing him perform AMYGDALA with such feelings right in front of me made me burst into tears! I too tried so many times to understand that specific part of my brain, tried to keep my experiences locked up in order to let them free without hurting anymore. It was an experience that I will NEVER forget!

Suddenly Yoongi started heading our way! Oh my God! He just took a fan's phone and recorded himself! I was right next to her, and we couldn't believe it! We totally went wild with that! Yoongi was only a step away! And when he gave the phone back I swear our eyes met, and he smiled... HE SMILED AT ME!! I could swear he read my sign, I mean, how couldn't he? I was holding it right in front of him, he had to see it! I was completely out of myself playing over and over again his look in my head. Aby yelled at me

—"HE SMILED AT YOU! THIS IS FUCKING INSANE!" — It really was fucking amazing!

Sadly, the concert came to an end and he just stepped off the stage, just like that, just like Yoongi does his shit. But... when Aby and I were about to head out of the venue, still excited about the life experience we had, a staff member approached us and asked me to show him my sign.

Huh? My sign? What for?

I obediently showed it to him and he said

—"Can you please come with me?"

—"What for?" — I asked, puzzled.

—"Mr. Min Yoongi is asking for you" — he simply replied.

Aby started jumping up and down because, for some unknown reason, we were about to meet Yoongi! But then the staff member bluntly said

—"Sorry, only YOU can come, we will take care of your friend in the meantime and then take you both safely to your place."

—"What? NO! She comes with me!" — I said back to him pretty loud.

Aby pushed me to start walking and said that it was okay, that she would wait for me,

—"What the heck, maybe I can catch a nice dinner or something, right?" — saying this as she looked over to the staff guy, making him laugh as he nodded his head.
