Chapter 05: The Bodyguard

It has been one hour since Ohm had challenged Nanon for Truth or Dare. Nanon's friends have stupidly agreed despite Nanon's disagreement, and right now, all of them are paying for it.

Some were about to throw up, some were dead ass asleep, and half of them were puking in the washroom.

Nanon was drunk enough, but he still had the strength to glare at Ohm.

"What the fuck are you up to?"

He had asked the boy with a hiss and a very drunk Ohm had replied with a slurry voice.

"That's exactly what I'm up to. To fuck you."

He smirked and Nanon smirked back making Ohm cock his brow.

"You're quite different when you're drunk, aren't you?"

"You could say that. Because I don't have to take any responsibility and blame it on the fact that I was drunk."

Nanon replied, and Ohm hummed.

"Like you did to my sister?"

Bile rose up in Ohm's throat. Just getting reminded of it could make Ohm snap Nanon's head.

Nanon didn't reply. Ohm expected him to say yes and be cocky about it, but he didn't. Instead, his face fell, and he started to curl the glass of alcohol in his hand.

Ohm thought he saw regret for a moment in those eyes, but he didn't want to care. Nanon had been a bitch and he should pay for it.

Ohm got up from his seat and walked to Nanon. Nanon eyed him skeptically, but all Ohm did was grin at him and look around.

It was past eleven at night. Everyone in the bar was pretty much drunk.

"Let's get going."

Ohm said as he put his arm around Nanon's neck, and maybe because the boy was drunk, Nanon just got up from his seat and leaned to Ohm.

"Sleepy."

He muttered. Ohm almost cooed. Almost.

"We'll see about that."

Was all he said before he dragged Nanon away from the bar and threw him in his car.

Nanon groaned when his head hit on the car board.

"Damn, Ohm... that hurts. What's wrong with you?"

He complained before he pouted and fell asleep. For some reason, now Ohm was full sober.

Hs sighed. He had to admit he had always liked Nanon since he was a kid. More than the boy might have liked him. But everything here was too fucked up that all he had was pure hatred toward Nanon now.

He groaned as he ran his fingers through his hair, frustrated and done. Then he got to the front seat and started to drive. He raced until he arrived at the little home he had rented for himself until he was done with his university.

Then he got out, put Nanon's arm around his neck, and carried him inside.

"Sir, who is this?"

His bodyguard, Bright, gained his attention at once.

"P'Bright!"

He exclaimed. The man was gone due to health issues, and Ohm was overjoyed to see him again.

"Good to see you too, Nong."

This time, Bright grinned, and Ohm looked at him apologetically.

"I'm sorry. If it wasn't for this guy, I would have hugged you."

He said, and Bright chuckled.

"Let me."

Bright leaned to help Ohm, but Ohm shook his head.

"No need, Phi. The scumbag doesn't deserve to be carried by a dignified person like you."

A big question mark appeared on the top of Bright's head.

"Scumbag? Isn't this N'Nanon? Your childhood friend?"

"You remember him?"

Ohm asked as he still carried a sleeping Nanon.

"Crystal clearly. Never could I forget the dimples. What happened with you two now? Not friends anymore?"

"Very far from that. Long story short. He made Jane pregnant and left her on her own until she got depressed."

"What?"

Bright looked too shocked for words and Ohm hissed as he kicked open the door to his bedroom. 

"Jane hadn't played the best part in this either. But she didn't deserve what he did to her."

"No one deserves that."

Bright said, furrowing his eyebrows just when Ohm kicked open the bathroom door inside his room and turned to him.

"Please be outside, Phi. Things are not going to be pleasant after this."

"You're not going to do anything stupid, are you?"

Bright asked, worry taking over his face. He knew how much Ohm loved Jane and he knew very well Ohm could go all the lengths for her. But when the boy smiled meaningfully at him, he knew Ohm wouldn't.

"I'm not that much of a jerk. But he won't like what I'm about to do and I don't want you to witness it either. I would prefer if you have that little Nong feeling about me for the rest of our life times."

Bright smacked Ohm's head playfully.

"As if anything I see could change that. But yeah, I'll be outside."

Bright looked one last time at Nanon. It was hard to believe that once the sweet boy did something like that. Nanon used to be so timid, running after Ohm, who he found intimidating even when Ohm was being the sweetest to him. Bright couldn't believe Nanon ended up like this. 

Bright closed the door behind and walked to window. He lit a cigarette and stared outside. He was glad he was back with Ohm. Ever since he got his lower body paralyzed trying to protect Ohm's father from a bullet exchange, he had been restless about Ohm. 

He couldn't be around Ohm, he couldn't take care of Ohm and that was driving him crazy. That boy was like family to him. Ohm lighted up his whole world when he got adopted by Ohm's dad after his parents died. That little boy was literally his little brother. 

He devoted his whole life to protect Ohm when he realized Ohm is adventurous and mischievous. Ohm was the main heir to his father's kingdom though Jane might help him and that made him a constant target of the enemies. So everyday he was away from Ohm, he couldn't help but feel like he was failing his duty.

But it seems... Jane was the one who needed protection here. 

"Shit."

Bright cursed. He hated the feeling of not being there for her. The twins were everything to him and it sucked to see what had happened to them.

He heard a loud splash from inside the bathroom and though it initially startled him, he couldn't help but let out a little laugh, guessing what Ohm might have done. The night was going to be interesting.

A/N - Alright the story is taking an unexpected turn. I didn't initially plan to have Bright here but suddenly this came to my mind and we might have a side couple here which will help the main couple to heal. Hint - The couple is straight.

I'm also keeping the chapters short so it makes it easy for me to give you consistent updates even on the days I'm busy. I'll try my best to keep you guys updated.
