3RD PERSON POV.
Wooryeong ran alongside the other NJ members, running down a few corridors before they made it to the back entrance of the building. Before they continued, however, Wooryeong stopped them.
"Let me make a call first, dongsaengs," she said as she pulled out her phone. She dialed a number and waited for a few moments as the device rang in her ear.
When the call connected, she heard the voice she'd been dying to hear for hours. "Hey, babe. How's the job so far? The girls and I and the boys are on the way to complete our part in it," Yunjin said softly.
Wooryeong sucked in a shallow breath. "Y- Yup. But, uhm… Hyeinnie's been taken and we're about to move in to get her back," she explained.
"What?" Yunjin asked sharply, surprise evident in her voice as it raised in pitch.
"Yeah," the younger confirmed, "but don't worry, Unnie, we're going to get her back. Continue on your way here quickly, we'll be just as quick. I just called you to tell you that I…" she trailed off, her nerves attacking her stomach, twisting it in multiple ways.
Truth be told, she had a bad feeling in her gut. Like something was going to go down as they're saving Hyein. So she was going to tell Yunjin something important.
"I love you," Wooryeong said quickly.
Embarrassingly enough, as quick as she said those three words, she hung up the phone, not waiting for Yunjin's reaction.
She looked up at the girls, face flushed red, but her face now sporting a determined look. But before she could speak, the back entrance door swung open.
And in walked Hyein.
All of the girls' jaws dropped at the younger's appearance. Her clothes were ripped in multiple places, her smooth skin was littered with bruises and red blotches, and her hair was messy. But her face was indifferent. In fact, as soon as she saw the girls, she smiled and waved as she walked up to them.
Minji was the first to break free from her trance. "W-What?!" She asked, running to Hyein. Everyone else followed behind, crowding around the fifteen-year-old girl. "Are you okay, Hyeinnie?" The eldest NJ member asked.
Hyein nodded her head reassuringly. Wooryeong let go of a relieved breath. She had felt the worst about Hyein being taken, because it happened with Hyein under her watch. So to know that the youngest was okay, she was beyond happy.
"I'm okay, everyone," Hyein told them. But then her smile dropped. "We have a serious problem, though," she added.
Everyone shot her a confused glance, their eyes practically begging her to elaborate.
She sighed, clearly stressed out by what she was about to say. "The trade is about to happen. Me kicking a few members' asses made no difference. More men came after I took out the squad that held me captive. I got out just in time for them to miss me, and I overheard them say that…
…th-there's… a bomb in the building."
HA WOORYEONG POV.
My face immediately paled as soon as I heard that information. I watched as everyone else's did as well. We all stood in an uneasy silence for a few tense moments, before Han spoke up, momentarily taking leadership.
"Snap out of it, girls," Han ordered, swallowing the lump in her throat and putting on a strong facade.
I felt my heart drop a bit. Sometimes, I forget that the girls are so young. Sometimes, I feel horrible that they have to go through stressful situations such as these and it's their lifestyle at such a young age. Especially Hyein.
