Chapter 38: She Came With A Bag Of Secrets

Rene p.o.v

I was in a dark, eerie forest. The trees were gnarled and twisted, their branches reaching out like skeletal hands. The ground was covered in a thick layer of fog, making it impossible to see what was ahead. But I could feel their presence, lurking in the shadows. Suddenly, two figures emerged from the mist. They were tall and imposing, with sharp features and piercing eyes.

I knew immediately that they were vampires. But what shocked me was it was Aries and Tristan. They both disappeared and reappeared in front of my face with their eyes glowing.
"Aries?" I called out. He didn't reply back to me. "Tristan?"
They both move closer where I can literally feel their breath on my neck. I was definitely afraid right now. "We will make you one of us." Aries says. Before I can say anything, I felt pain from both sides of my neck. Both hands covered my mouth silencing my screams. All I could do is look into their glowing eyes as I became weak.

My eyes flutter rapidly as I let out a gasp. I sat up so quickly looking around to see my surroundings. No creepy forest just me in Aries room. "Rene you ok?" Aries ask me. I blinked owlish at him as I tried to look more alert. Aries stood there looking concerned at me and I shook my head.
"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. Everything ok?" I asked him.
"Normal as always. You say you're fine, but your heart rate says otherwise. My guess would be a bad dream?" My head sunk into my hands because he knew. I wasn't ready to tell him just yet.

"Just some creepy forest." I say. I could tell Aries wasn't buying of what I'm selling, but he nods knowing that I didn't feel up to it. Honestly I wanted to keep to myself because who knows? It might be a future thing or it's the stress getting to me. "Today I planned for us to hangout with Luther and Janice."
"Oh? What time?" I asked him.
"Now. We waiting for to you wake up." I gasped and quickly threw the covers off me rushing to the chester. Aries laughs softly telling me to take my time. But I was already making my way to the shower.

After I got cleaned up and everything Aries was sitting on the couch reading some book, but he looked up at me. "I'm ready." I said standing there.
"Alright. Let's go." He say. I followed Aries behind and so did the guard too. Aries only took fifteen steps and yes I knew how many steps he took is odd and all, but I noticed he stopped. I walked ahead of him looking at him. He was staring blankly down the hallway then his eyebrows lowered and his normal face turned to a deep frown lips tightened.

He turned around to face the guard and his face looked intense. They both stared at each other but it didn't take long until they both had eyes on me. "Rene, I'm sorry but there been a change of plans. I'll explain later to you, but right now there something requires my attention. The guard will be with you until I come back." I looked at him trying to read him. His face was set in an unreadable look. Hate when he does that. "Something wrong? Is it Janice? Luther?"

Aries ignored my question and told the guard to go. We was going the opposite direction of where we was going. The whole walk was silence with my thoughts running wild. I wonder what was going on. Gotta be something bad, right? Aries sending me away like that gotta be something not good. What if he gets in trouble? No, all the thoughts come rushing in like a flood. I was so lost to my thought, I bump into the guard. "Sorry," I say to him.

The guard gesture me to a door that looks similar to Aries door. Looking unsure I looked back at the guard and he nods at me to go ahead. Before I can knock the door opens to reveal Aldon. "Hello Miss Rene,  it's nice seeing you again." He smiled.

Janice p.o.v

I could see Luther fist balled up as his body tensed up. The urge to walk to him and try to calm him down was strong. I rubbed his back and it seemed to work a little. He never took his eyes off her staring a death glare at her. What bad blood did they have? I turn my head to the woman. She looked like she didn't belong in this era. She about 5'8 tall dressed in a red velvet Victorian suit with black laced gloves and black high heels. Her hair was jet black in a updo, her skin was pale with red lips and red iris.
