Meanwhile...

"Next up is 'a dragon's scale'."
"... Is he serious?"
"Eluma went hard on the tasks. I bet he was jealous over Master."
"The fact that even I think so explains a lot. This dude's jealousy is funny yet scary."
"He's head over heels for her."
"As he should! My precious sister is a gem, and a Queen! He better treat her as such, because if he breaks her heart, I'll break his, but in a physical way." *smile*
"I sometimes feel like you're scarier than Master."
"Me? I'm innocent!"
*sigh* "Anyways, where do we find a dragon-"
'You definitely won't find him by chatting here.'
"AH!"
"Diane, when will you stop getting scared every time a spirit appears?"
"They are scary!"
"But you're a spirit like them!"
"No, he's a ghost-spirit. I'm a normal one."
*sigh*
*ahem* 'So, you want a dragon's scale?'
"Yes."
'Alright!'
*woosh*
*garden appears*
"Wow!"
"It's beautiful!"
*snaps his fingers*
*dragon appears*
"Holy moly!"
*roar*
"That's the dragon?"
*nod* 'You have to take a scale without killing him.'
"Hein?"
"We can't just approach him and casually take one!"
'You can if you work hard. You have ten minutes, as usual.'
"Can we use our powers?"
'Yes, but you cannot use a spell to bring you a scale, put him to sleep or kill him.'
*nod* "Noted."
'Good luck!'
*roar*
"So, what do we do now?"
"He said we can't kill him.
"Yes."
"Okay, then, we can tame him."
"In ten minutes? How?!"
"By using magic."
"!"
"One of us will distract him, while the other will start with the enchantment, because a normal spell won't do anything against him."
"... I'll do it. You take care of the rest."
*nod* "Be careful. He doesn't seem too... friendly."
"Don't worry."
*roar*
*approach* "Hey, buddy! How's everything? How's life treating you?"
*attacks*
*dodge* "Wow! That's what I get for asking about your whereabouts?!"
*roar*
"Ey, stop screaming! My ears hurt!"
*approach*
*smirk* "Not this time." *attacks* *kicks*
*screams*
"You were roaring a few seconds ago. What happened now, bastard?" *punch*
*BAM*
"Now." *approach* *glow*
*screams*
"Get the fuck up, and show me what you've got." *smirks*

A few minutes later...

*BAM* *screams*
"You're crying because of some attacks? Are you that weak?"
"... Damn."

I know that power has nothing to do with a person's personality, but Luka, who's originally a calm and composed guy, actually surprised me with his aggressive talking and fighting. He attacked the dragon as if it were something easy. And while he did not kill him, the poor creature can barely move.

"I wonder how powerful he'd get if he actually transforms."
"Diane! Are you done?"
"Yes, but you have to step back."
"Don't forget, we can't put him to sleep or kill him."
*nod* "Don't worry. I've got the perfect enchantment."
*woosh*
*three magic circles appear*
"With pure heart and absolute trust,
Turn the madness into dust.
Wings of power, scale so wide,
Let our voices be your guide."
*glow*
*roar*
"Amazing."

She's literally controlling him, but in a gentle yet powerful way.

*whining*
"Good boy." *approach*
"Careful, Diane."
"... I trust my powers and my spell."
"So do I, but this dude is weird."
*freeze*
"Shh, it's alright." *caress*
*whining*
"I know, Luka didn't go easy on you. I'm sorry."
"What?! Why are you apologizing-"
*glare*
"..."

This glare is giving a 'shut the fuck up' vibe.

"Hey, can I take something from you?"
*nods*
*takes a scale*
"Nice! You got it-"
*glare*
"... Alright, I'll shut up."
"Thank you, sweetheart." *caress*
'Congrats! You did it!'
"AH!"
"... Seriously?"
*sigh* "I'm sorry."
'Let's go.'
*waves* "Bye, dragon!"
"See ya!"
*woosh*
*garden disappears*
'You were great! Now you only have one task left!'
*nod* "Let's go!"
"Bye!"
*leave*

...

Meanwhile...

"Our next item is 'a key that unlocks the door to an enchanting place'."
"Huh? What does that mean?"
"Well, even though I've been here for a while now, there are still some places that I don't know of. But you've been here for ages now."
"To be honest, the only place I can think of is the Arcane Chamber."
"Why is it called like that?"
"It's a mysterious room that nobody has ever entered."
"Not even Blackie?"
*shakes his head* "Not even her."
"Alright then, what are we waiting for?"
"... Let's go."
*woosh*

...

In front of the Arcane Chamber...

"We're here."
"... The door seems familiar."
"Really?"
*nod* "As if I've been here before."
"That's weird."
"Anyways, where's the spirit that is supposed to help us?"
'I'm right here!'
"Hello."
'Hey! How are you?'
"We're good, how about you?"
'I'm fine. I won't waste your time, so let's start. As you must be already aware, this room is sealed, and nobody has ever entered it. Before you start panicking, no, you don't have to go in. Your only task is to play a game in order to get the key.'
"And what is this game?"
'Laser Maze.'
"Laser what?"
'Laser Maze. You know, like in these spy movies.'
"Ah, I see."
'The rules are simple. You cannot use magic, and both of you have to reach the key at the same time and in less than ten minutes. Oh and also, touching these lasers will electrocute you, so be careful.'
"WHAT?!"
"Eluma, calm down."
"I'm sorry."
"Do you always freak out this easily?"
*pale* "... No."

Way to go, Eluma.

'Don't worry, you won't die. It will just hurt a little bit.'
"... Alright. When do we start?"
'Right now!'
*snaps his fingers*
*room with lasers appears*
'Good luck!'
"Eluma, let's do it."
*nod*
*start dodging the lasers*
*touch* *buzz* "OUCH!"
"Eluma, be careful."
"This hurts like hell!"
*sigh* "If you continue like this, we won't arrive on time."
"You're right."

A few minutes later...

"WE DID IT!"
'Congratulation! And you did it with just four electrocutions. Though, they all came from you, Eluma.'
"Sorry~"
*chuckle* 'Well, at least you completed the mission on time.'
"True."
*woosh*
*room disappears*
'Good job, and see you!'
*nod* *waves*
*leave*
'He was definitely nervous. I can say from his face that went pale the moment she asked him if he freaks out easily. Whatever, it's none of my business.'

...

In Blackie's office...

"... I'm lost."

Like, everything's going well with the others, but I don't understand anything when it comes to Eluma and mom. Are they getting along or not? Did I make a mistake by putting them together? Or was it a good idea?

"I know for a fact that Eluma is nervous, but my mom's face during the past two games was the same, and I know what this expression means."

She was analyzing him. She's studying every move, every word he's saying, and even his body language, which is not something reassuring, as I'm sure she notices his stress.

*sigh* "I can only hope that she won't hate him."
