"I know babe, I miss you too." seth sounds from the phone. "it just sucks that we're apart for our one month anniversary." leilani shrugs.

"yeah. how's everything going over there?" seth asks. "everything's good." leilani nods. "what about matt?" seth asks.

"oh you don't need to worry about that." leilani shrugs. "I've kinda been avoiding him after you told me what he did." leilani says.

"thank you babe. you didn't need to do that." seth frowns. "I know but I thought it was best." leilani speaks.

"it probably was." seth nods. "yeah." leilani mumbles to herself. "he's been texting a lot but I've just left him on read." leilani shrugs.

"I did continue texting the rest tho. is that okay?" leilani asks. "of course babe, you can also text matt if you want. I'm not stopping you." seth answers.

"I won't but thanks." leilani smiles.

"I have to go babe. I'm so sorry." seth speaks. "okay. I love you bye." leilani smiles. "love you bye." seth says before hanging up.

*leilani's POV*

did I do the right thing by avoiding matt and distancing myself from him?

I don't know what's going on.

everything's a lot.

seth being away, matt doing what he did, amber still being in a coma, my parents totally losing it, my eating disorder.

y'know.

if I could just— rest or not think of any of that for one goddamn second.

but no.

the only time I am honestly happy or I forget most of my problems, is when I'm with matt.

but after knowing how he talked to seth, I don't think I can trust him anymore.

it's just so new to not talk to matt for a while.

the longest I haven't talked to him was 1 day.

it's been 1 week.

ugh I'm so fucking frustrated.
