𝐒𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝟎𝟏: 𝐒𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐭 (𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐃)

𝟒𝟑: 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬

     Madilim.

     Biglang umalingawngaw ang isang pamilyar na boses.

     "Mathara!" Si Arriety yun. Binuksan niya ang mga mata. 

     Arriety is holding a table calendar with her. The date was circled in red marker. Ano bang meron?

     Mathara squinted her eyes to clarify what's that date. 

     April 30,2019. It's her 18th birthday. Sumigla bigla nag katawan ni Mathara. It's the day na pinakahihintay niya. Siguradong hindi kayang ayawan ng ama niya ang hiling niya sa araw na ito. She smirked in excitement, her expression so devilish that it wiped the happy smile off Arriety's face.

     "Happy Birthday?" mahinang bati ng kapatid na hindi naman narinig ni Mathara. She doesn't care about greetings. 

     Bihis na bihis na ang dalaga. She's ready to face her dad. 

     "Dad!" tawag niya agad dito nang makita niya. Mathias didn't bother greeting her but he still gave him his attention. 

     "It's my 18th Birthday," she quoted with the same smirk she's been wearing when she woke up. Mathias felt a bit weird. Does she need him to greet her? "Nope. I don't need your greeting," she spoke as if she have read what he's thinking. 

     "Then, what do you want?" Mathias asked. Unti unti na ding nagsi-assemble ang mga assassins sa room na yun. They are lined ready to receive their missions.

     "I want my first mission," she said it, finally. She sounded so excited at nalakasan niya yun. Narinig siya ng mga seniors niya.

     "I see." Napaupo si Mathias sabay halungkat nung mga files sa table niya. Mathara watched with thrill. She even leaned to her father's table to see which mission he would choose for her.

     Mathias slid a file in front of her. Tinignan niya ang picture ng isang pamilya sa litratong naroon. It was a family of four. 

     "Sasamahan ka ni Logan at Jaxon sa mission na ito," sabi ng ama na sumira sa excitement ng dalaga.

     "I can handle myself. Hindi ko kailangan ng bodyguards," she's trying to refuse the offer for accompaniment. 

     "They will just drive you there. Hindi sila mangingialam sayo. They are just there to watch and will only take action if necessary." 

     Mathara exhaled sabay kibit balikat.

     "Your first target and mission is the Fosters. Kailangan mo lang patayin ang parents sabi ng clients pero wala din siyang pakialam kung pati mga anak ay idamay mo. Anyways, enjoy your first mission, my devil," Mathias added.

     Gabi na.

     Jaxon and Logan drove her to that house. It looked simple. Nakapagtataka at pinapapatay sila. Most of their targets are rich people. Mga pulitiko, celebrities o di kayay mga business personalities. Weird.

     Anyways, hindi yun makapagbabago sa excitement na nararamdaman ni Mathara. She would finally fill that void within her, satisfying her bloodlust. Mararamdaman na din niya sa wakas ang pakiramdam na pumatay ng isang tao. She's been anticipating for this very day.

     Nanginginig ang laman niya sa sobrang excitement na nararamdaman. Sinuot na niya ang kanyang maskara. 

     "Enjoy, Death Devil," Jaxon spoke before she left the car.
