"Imran bhai, please drop me back home", I begged with tears streaming down my face. The memories of the horrific night with Danish came flooding back as I looked at the bruised and battered pictures of my parents. They looked so pale and weak, and I couldn't bear the thought of being away from them any longer. But Imran bhai's response shook me to core.

"Why do you want to go back? Khala has strictly forbidden me from taking you home at any cost", he said, his hands trembling as he drove the car even faster. I felt a surge of anger and desperation.

"Can't you see that Danish is trying to kill my parents?", I yelled, thrusting the pictures towards him. But to my dismay, there was no emotion on his face.

"Please, I beg you. Drop me home", I pleaded, hoping to appeal his humanity. But his reply sent shivers down on spine.

"No, sorry. I can't drop you home", he said, his voice laced with determination. That's when I lost it. I couldn't understand how anyone could be so heartless.

"I swear, if you don't take me home right now, I'll call Danish and tell him that you touched me", I threatened, glaring at him with all the anger and pain I was feeling.

"I'll make up a story and tell him that you gave me creepy smiles and made me feel uncomfortable", I continued, my voice now filled with venom.

I knew that Danish was a possessive and psychotic man who would do anything to protect what he considered his. And I was sure that even a hint of Imran bhai's involvement with me would drive him over the edge.

"I know that Danish will kill you if I tell him that you touched me", I stated matter-of-factly, knowing that my words were enough to instill fear in Imran bhai.

But I was desperate, and I would do anything to be back home, safe with my parents. And if that means using a little bit of manipulation and fear, I was willing to do it.

"I swear, if you don't stop this car right now, I will jump out of it", I said, my anger boiling over. All I wanted was to go home and stop Danish before he caused any more harm to my family. But my companion, with a chuckle replied, "You think, by threatening me with his name, I will drop you home? You are wrong, my dear. I will take you to my home, just like khala told me to". I could feel my blood boiling at his audacity.

"You wouldn't dare!", I retorted, my voice trembling with rage. I could see the busy main road ahead, filled with moving vehicles. He probably thought that by driving admist the chaos, I would be too scared to jump out of the car. But he was wrong. Nothing could stop me.

I reached for the door handle, determined to make my escape. But to my dismay, the door was locked. I turned to face him, my eyes blazing with fury, as I demanded, "unlock the door now".

I pleaded with him, "If you're not willing to drop me at home, at least unlock the damn door. I'll go myself". My heart stopped when he turned to me with a dirty, menacing smile and said, "I have been waiting for this for 5 years, just you and me alone. You think I'd let you go that easily?", I shouted in horror and started beating his back while frantically turning the wheel.

He tried to stop me, saying we'd get into an accident, but I didn't care. I pulled his hair tightly and yelled. "Stop the car now!", he winced in pain, but I didn't let go.

"Not until you stop the car", I demanded. He kept trying to reason with me, but I was beyond listening, I pulled even harder, determined to make him stop.

"Ok, ok, stop pulling my hair, woman. I'll stop", he said, tears forming in his eyes from how hard I was gripping his hair.

"Now, do as I say", I replied, not removing my hand from his hair.

"Ok....ok", he stuttered and closed his eyes, groaning.

"You'll the stop the car in the corner", I said, pulling harder on his hair. He nodded like a scared little kid, and I couldn't believe how much he was making me lose my cool. He stopped the car in a corner, just 10 minutes away from his home. I didn't want to go to his home either way, so I quickly got out of the car and stood there, watching as he grabbed my bag from the back seat.

"You're going to regret this", he muttered, as he threw my things out of the and sped off. I stood there, watching his car disappear down the road, taking a deep breath in relief. "I'm safe from him", I thought, waiting for a rickshaw to come by.
