Chapter 116: Darkest Day Finale

Serena soon shakes off her thoughts on this whole sacrifice all deal, knowing she can't let it eat at her forever. If she's so worried about someone potentially getting hurt then she's bound to make that outcome come to fruition. No Serena knows she needs to stay positive and be as supportive as she can be if they want to actually find a way of taking down Eternatus. There's no point dwelling on what could be and instead she needs to be focused on what is guaranteed.

The Kalos queen soon looks over at her boyfriend as she shouts to get his attention "Ash!"

The champion of 3 regions soon hears his girlfriend's voice and instantly turns towards her. For Serena that gesture is enough of an invitation as she runs towards him as fast as she possibly can.

Serena soon reaches her boyfriend as the two of them instantly and instinctively hold each other's hands. There's the briefest moment of calm between the two, as relieved smiles coat their faces upon being reunited once again.

That moment doesn't last for long, or as long as they would truly like it to. Ash soon places a more  concerned look on his face as he questions "Are you okay Serena? What happened with Oleana? She's dealt with right?"

Upon being reminded of the situation with Oleana again, Serena takes a complicated sigh. The Kalos queen soon shakes her head before she exclaims "I don't really want to get into all the little details right this second Ash. All you need to know is that we did it. We won the battle and she's been detained. She won't be hurting anyone else ever again I can assure you."

Ash is a little confused as to why Serena seems so down about winning considering how determined she was to take down Oleana when he left her at the bottom of the tower. It's something he'll have to ask her about at some point but for now it's probably best to leave alone.

Instead Ash decides to take the proud approach to the situation as he replies "Great job Serena, I knew you could do it. First 6v6 battle and your first win. You're making me look bad you know?"

Serena is instantly cheered up by Ash's praise of her as well as his humour. She soon decides to lean in and give him a quick kiss on the lips before she pulls away and replies "I guess it's not a bad way of looking at it, although the 6v6 official battle rules kind of went out the window. Plus we all know you're the best battler there is Ashy."

Ash chuckles a little before lets Serena fall into his embrace before he exclaims "Thanks princess, I love you."

Serena cuddles into Ash, really needing his comfort around about now after all she's just been through. She soon smiles up at her boyfriend as she wholeheartedly replies "I love you too."

Amongst the thunder storm and rain the two share a little lover's moment as they reunite after that short time apart. After the emotional gauntlet Serena just went through, she needed this little moment. As did Ash to be honest with you. After starting to have doubts as to whether he could actually do this or not it's nice to have the comfort and reassurance on his side that Serena naturally brings him.

The amour couple aren't the only ones to reunite either with of course Teen Pikachu reuniting with her father. She spouts some information proudly to her father about how she used a Z move to take down a Tsareena. She also tells her adopted dad how she managed to learn extreme speed too to save her little cousin.

Of course Pikachu is proud of his daughter as he gives her a little pat on the head. Although he must admit he is a little jealous that Teen Pikachu managed to learn extreme speed. He's been stuck with the same old quick attack for years and he had no idea such a move was even possible for a Pikachu to learn. Then again he's still quicker than his daughter without it so it's not all that big of a deal.
