Chapter 122: You Chose Me

The dust has settled on the amour engagement and the cameras have been put away. The couple have done their media work nice and quick with the most blunt answers they could give. Usually they would be against being so rude, even if the media duties aren't exactly their favourite they are partially the reason their contracts are so lucrative. However on this occasion with what just happened out there, the couple have plenty of excuses as to why they would like a few moments away from the cameras.

To be fair if they did want that then Ash's idea of proposing in front of the whole world probably wasn't the best idea. However in his defence he does have plenty of good reasons as to why he would want to make Serena his fiancée in front of so many people.

One, he has so many friends, family and acquaintances across the world that calling them all up individually to say they are engaged would be time consuming to say the least. It's much easier to do it all at once with the cameras all there. Plus Ash isn't one to hide his love for his woman anymore. He wants the whole world to know that Serena is his bride to be and no one else's.

With all that said and done the amour couple now find themselves back in their dressing room with the two of them cuddled up on a bench. Serena sits on her man's lap with her legs hanging horizontally off the side. She rests her head into his chest while his protective arms wrap around her body. The most warm and cozy feeling goes through their bodies as they take in the feeling of officially being engaged to marry.

Of course they had made promises to do such a thing one day but now that the moment is here it feels so special. The security of knowing that one day the wedding bells will sound and they will become Mr and Mrs Ketchum.

Of course there is still a long way to go on that front and wedding planning is still something they are going to need to discuss. There will be so much to do and so much to plan, but alas that can wait for another day.

As the two cuddle up, Ash notices his bride to be constantly checking her phone as it pings with message after message of congratulations. Serena is constantly smiling while texting back before sending pictures of her ring to a few people. She even makes Ash take a few pictures with her to send to her friends.

The fact that the proposal was live too means social media will be flooded with videos of the two. Serena can't wait to watch some of them back and save them to watch over and over again. Not many people will be able to show their future children the moment their dad proposed to their mom. But Serena can and that's pretty cool if you ask her.

Ash notices his fiancée stealing glances at her beautiful diamond ring and can't help but smile. He soon gives her a quick kiss on the cheek before he questions "So do you like your ring beautiful?"

Serena looks up from her phone and places the cutest smile she can manage on her face as she replies "I don't like it, I absolutely love it Ash! It feels so right to have this on my finger. It's absolutely beautiful!"

Ash chuckles a little at how happy and excited Serena seems to be over her engagement. The fact she is so smily and happy really does mean a lot to the new Galar champion. He's wanted to make her this happy for a while now and today just felt like the best opportunity.

He soon gently rubs his hands over her shoulders as he replies "I'm really glad you like it Serena, and I'm so glad that you chose me. That ring is super special to me too, because that's the ring that seals that one day we are going to become a real family."

Serena finds her whole body blushing at how cute and romantic all of this is. The best part about all this is it has come as a complete surprise to her. She never ever expected Ash to get down on one knee so soon. After all they still are so so young.
