Chapter 126: Hoenn Arrival

The last few days have been rough on the amour couple to say the least. After Serena's argument with her father and the reveal that she is indeed Calem's half sister, things haven't been all that great for the most part with a few silver linings sprinkled in here and there.

The day Serena had her argument was extremely tough on the Kalos queen with her struggling to deal with all her emotions. For starters, Serena may have been strong in front of her father but away from him she can't deny that the words he said really did hurt her.

The fact he doesn't see her as anything other than a cash cow is extremely upsetting. The years of trauma hit Serena hard which is why she was so upset when her dad walked away from her and Ash.

Once the two of them got back to the hotel room, Serena cried over everything for what felt like hours on Ash's chest. She cried about what he said, she cried about how worried she is about Calem and how he'll see her now. She cried about Amelia and her boyfriend troubles and how her dream was taken away from her. She cried about how fucked up her family is and how she just wants to love her half siblings like she should be able to.

Serena's dream vision for her family would be for her dad to go to hell. Her sister would get rid of her boyfriend and start to be herself. Calem would keep on being himself and following his dream. From the limited interactions she's had with them, she wants them to be an aunt and uncle to her future babies and be apart of her family.

But that man risks everything and is truly evil. As long as he's with them then Serena isn't sure she can have her siblings be apart of her life.

The whole time Serena cries, Ash doesn't dare move as he does his very best to comfort her. He smooths her silk like honey blonde hair, whispering sweet things into her ear and cuddles her in.

After an hour of tears, Serena falls asleep with her head firmly planted on Ash's lap. The champion of 4 regions wouldn't move if he could as he smiles down at his queen while continuing to stroke her hair.

Serena is such an angel and in his eyes she really doesn't deserve any of this. He wants her to be happy and not have to worry about her family situation. This is his family situation too and he knows what Serena wants. She wants a happy family with her two siblings as part of that. Ash will do everything in his power to make sure that happens. If Mr Gabena tries to stand in his way then he'll get what's coming to him. Ash might be a little terrified still of that future family, but he's going to do everything he can to make sure his children never have the same childhood trauma him and especially Serena have had to face.

After waking up from her nap, Ash made sure to treat Serena like a queen to try and help her mood. Her tears had stopped and now she was just upset. He ran her a bath, cooked her dinner before cuddling her for the rest of the day. It was perfect and the best thing he could do for her in that moment.

The day after that Serena had to go back on stage for another performance which was extremely difficult for her. It's really hard to put a smile on your face when all you can feel is sadness at that moment in time.

She was given the option to cancel the performance after Aria heard about what happened. However Serena knew that a lot of people had paid to see her perform and she wasn't going to let them down. So in the end she did what she felt a Kalos queen should do in this situation, which is put a smile on her face and press on.

That night however was a lot better with Ash taking Serena out on a pre planned date they already had booked in. He did think about cancelling but Serena really wanted to go. After all she needed something to distract herself from her dad, Calem and Amelia. That something is the best thing she has in her life, her future husband.
