Me and the friend group are all sitting in colbys basement. Tommarow Sam, Colby, Jake, Corey and Devin graduation high school leaving me kat and tara to finish high school on our own. We've been a friend group since we were freshmen and they were sophomores and they were friends before that.
We're all sitting there reminiscing on the good times we had. All the girls cuddled up with there respective boyfriends while high school musical plays on the TV in the background.
"Hey remember that time Jake and y/n started throwing paint at each other?!" Sam exclaims "YES I HAD RED PAINT IN MY HAIR FOR A WEEK!" everyone laughs at the memory.
"Remember that time sophmore year when Sam sang a proposal to kat" I say as Sam cringes and Katrina laughs "it was so cute babeeee"
After a long night of laughing and yelling we all turn out the lights and get snuggled up. Tara fits right in the crook of Jake's body on the floor and devyn- in Corey's. Sam and kat take the little couch and me and Colby on the big.
We're facing each other talking quietley, giggling and occasionally kissing. I pull away from one and look and him and sigh. "I can't believe ur leaving me" "I know it's crazy I didn't think I was gonna graduate tbh" "don't say that ur so smart love" "eh I'm alr.." he chuckles.
"87 more days together than off to college...a whole hour and a half away" "I know baby but don't worry I already check and they let people into the dorms especially pretty girls" I smile. "And..." He conteinues "I put ur name as my emergency contact so u can come over anytime even if I'm not there and can stay for however long...not even my mom has that kinda privilege" "wait really" I ask and he nods. "I love you" "I love u too baby. Now let's get some sleep big day tmrw..." "Ok goodnight I love you" "I love you more sweetheart"
We all wake up the next day and colbys mom made us all a pancake bar with like a gazillion toppings. She really is the best. We all go to my house to get ready leaving the boys at colbys. I give Colby a big hug and kiss before leaving. "I'm gonna cheer so loud for you baby I'm so proud of you" "thank you darling..I love you so much...your my whole heart you know that?" I nod and kiss him again.
Once we're all ready we head over to the school football field where the stage and chairs are set up. We sit right behind the graduates as close as we can get. It takes a while but finally Colby gets called. "Cole robert brock.." I stand up cheering and clapping "THATS MY BOY!!!" he makes a heart back at the audience. Sam gets called next followed my devyn Corey and finally Jake.
"Give it up for your graduating class" the crowd cheers and they all throw there caps. All 3 of us girls look at each other and start crying. Our best friends did it ...
After the ceremony they all go find there guys. Colbys taking pictures with his family and I'm just standing in a corner crying. finally he turns and sees me and I run up to him and he wraps me in his arms. "Aw baby..." He kisses my head. "I'm so proud of you colbs...and I'm so sad ur leaving" "we have all summer baby then I'm just a hour away..it's gonna be ok." "I love you so much" "I love you more than anything in the world...your my whole heart" I look up and kiss him then he wipes my tears. "C'mon let's go party!"
We get to colbys house and go into his room so he can change and I can fix my mascara bc I cried sm. "Oh hey babe here open ur present" I hand him a really long card and a little box. He opens it and inside is a little necklace with a heart pendant that says "I love you" in my handwriting with a heart that I drew. "Oh my god...babe I love it thank you" he kisses me and then grabs a little box off his dresser and hands it to me laughing. I open it and it's the same thing and it says "more than anything in the world" with a herat in his handwriting. "Aw Colby" I laugh. "Looks like we had the same idea" "wait I have one more thing for you..." "Colby this is your graduation why are u getting me stuff?" He grabs a little box and comes back. "Bc I'm going away..this is hard for you..I wanna put that pretty little head of yours at ease"
He opens the box and a little heart ring sits in there. "This is a darey ring...do you know what that is?" I shake my head no. "At the store they take ur information and Id...you can only buy one in your entire life...so I know we can't get married bc...your still a kid but this is me promising you forever into i can put a real ring on that finger" I look up at him and kiss him. He slips the ring onto my finger. "There...officially the future mrs.brock" "I like how that sounds" "me too darling...if u think this is good just wait untill you see what I got you for before I leave" I kiss him again. "Alright lets go party!"
