I actually fell asleep after faking it for so long. I woke up to a smoothing, swaying motion, and I quickly realized that I was no longer in the car. I could hear a heartbeat, beating steadily right next to my ear.

I peered up to see Luke's face, looking straight ahead as he carried me in his arms like I was a bag of feathers rather than a human. I wanted to pretend to sleep again so that I could stay there, but he felt me stir and looked down.

"Mm. You're awake, Angel. I'm sorry, you just looked so peaceful and I didn't wanna wake you."

He put me down and I nearly fell over. Freaking Bambi legs.

I clung onto his neck, which I had to strain to reach. Luke snickered softly in my ear. "Easy there."

"Where are we going anyway?" I asked, my voice still laced in sleep.

"We're at the hotel, in the parking area. We're just walking to our suite now. They have a pool and gym on the top floor, if you were wondering. Oh, and they have a nice pizzeria nearby I was thinking we could visit sometime."

"Oh my god. Did I tell you that I loved you?" I exclaimed, genuinely excited about staying in the nice hotel.

He smirked at me. "Maybe once or twice."

The marble building was huge. It had pillars holding the ceiling up, which had beautiful designs of angels and stars splattered across its white background.

It must cost a fortune a night to stay here. But coming from Luke, I didn't expect anything less.

Our suite was even better. It was as if there were a bunch of rooms strung together. Making an immediate left on your way in, was the kitchen, which lead into the living room. Past that were two rooms that housed the two king sized beds , both lined with satin sheets. They even had their own bathrooms. To the immediate right was the main bathroom with a huge bathtub, enough for two people to easily fit inside. That led into a game room, consisting of a billiards table and a huge plasma screen connected to a couple controllers. I could feel my inner nerd shouting happily.

My favorite thing, however, was the balcony. It was the first thing you noticed when you came in.

I stood there, gazing up at the incredibly bright stars. I was so entranced, I hadn't heard Luke walk up next to me.

"Cami." He put his hand on the small of my back and I shivered at the contact.

I jumped. "God, I didn't even know you were here."

He smiled. "It's alright. I was just going to say that it's really late. You should get some sleep..."

"Yeah, you're right," I admitted, taking my bottom lip on my mouth and chewed thoughtfully. I wanted more than anything to fall asleep with him, but I knew that would be definitely overstepping our boundaries. Not to mention I was still shaken over what happened the the car.

Luke had the impression to want the same thing, because he kept stalling, not wanting to go into his room.

"Goodnight, Luke. Thank you for everything today. This place is beyond anything I expected."

He gave me a surrendering smile when he felt sleep become too much of a burden.

"Goodnight Cami. I love you," he told me, walking into his room and closing it behind him.

It wasn't until I walked into my room that my weary mind registered what he said. Of course, he meant it in a fatherly way, but a girl could imagine. I jumped in bed, feeling my stomach turn and jump in giddiness.

And with that thought, I laid on the big lonely mattress, closing my eyes and thinking about the man with sandy blond hair, striking blue eyes. Suddenly, the bed didn't feel as lonely as I thought.

BE PATIENT WITH ME THE SMUT WILL COME. The hardcore one, I mean. And there will be a significant amount, I promise. It's my longest chapter, besides the Prologue. It's probably going to be later though, around chapter 30. Sorry if I'm killing you with the teasing ;) Can I get 1000 votes? Double update, if I do.
