As it turned out, Luke had errands to run the next morning. I would be lying if I said I didn't panic when I realized he wasn't next to me in the morning. After yesterday's events, I was more terrified than ever to be apart from him, to lose him.

I walked into the kitchen and my fears unraveled when I saw him cooking. My stomach growled in approval. Yes. Breakfast.

"Morning. I made lunch," he said, putting a plate onto the counter as I scrambled up onto the elevated chair.

"Lunch?"

He laughed. "It's 12, Angel."

Oh. "Of course it is," I said, rolling my eyes.

"So I met with some lawyers this morning," Luke began causally, sitting across from me while playing with a can of lemonade in his hands.

"Oh really," I replied back, trying to match his nonchalant tone, when in reality, I was trying not to jump out of my seat in anxiousness.

"Jocelyn was there. To be completely honest, she was surprised when I brought out the papers. I've had them done for a while now," he started, voice cold and distant. I knew instantly he was talking about the divorce. "I just wanted to wait for the right time, like I told you before."

I tensed up, and chewed slower. "What happened?"

"I nearly hit her," he admitted, nose flaring when he remembered my injury, "but she finally agreed to sign the documents, and to not wait it out. It won't be official for a couple months but at least it's done. After some more persuasion, she couldn't refuse my offer."

I finished my plate, dropping the silverware into the glass plates in disbelief. "You offered her even more money?" I grimaced.

He nodded, ashamed. "Cami, don't worry about it-"

"No!" I said outraged. "That bitch does not deserve you or a penny of what you make!"

Luke slid his chair over to me and put his arms around me as I slumped back into his chest.

"Angel...please." He cooed, nuzzling his face into my hair.

I groaned. He was trying to distract me and he was succeeding. "Stop it."

I could feel his smile against my head. "Please, please, please, just forget about it," he begged and I hit him on the shoulder, making him laugh.

"That's not fair."

"What isn't?" He chuckled sarcastically.

"I can't say no when you beg."

"So you like it when I beg, huh?" He smirked and bit his lip. My eyes widened as I crossed my legs, trying to ignore the attention my body was demanding.

As we sat there, a thought came to me. "When did your feelings start...changing for me?" I heard my timid voice ask.

Luke let out a breath. "That's a very broad question. It's hard to recall a certain date."

I fought the overwhelming urge to smile like an idiot.

"But it probably started around that time we went to Daytona. That's when I started becoming physically attracted to you," he murmured, playing with the ends of my hair.

I already partially knew that before the words came out of his mouth. I wanted to cover my face from the blush that was starting to form, remembering his secret box. I knew I would have to tell him sometime soon, but the guilt was keeping me from doing so.

"It was one of the first times I've ever seen you wear a bikini, and when we were playing around with the camera...you just seemed so much more mature at that time...God, I sound like a pervert, I'm sorry."

I looked up at his face, then turned around so that I was sitting in his lap, my arms resting on his shoulders. "No, don't apologize," I say, brushing the side of his face with my thumb. "I think you're amazing. And the fact that your older doesn't change a thing. If anything, it makes you more attractive," I admitted, watching him smile at me and shook his head in amusement, like he didn't believe me.

"It was so hard to fight my attraction for you, especially those days. Seeing you just lay on the beach with the sun hitting your skin perfectly... you were like an Angel sent from my own personal hell to come torture me."

I was speechless.

"I was so goddamn hard for you that I almost took out my cock and stroked it in front of the whole freaking beach. But then...you turned your head to the side when Jocelyn called your name, and I saw your innocent, happy face. I instantly felt disgusted with myself," Luke said, rubbing his hands over his face, exasperated at the memories.

"How do you think I felt?" I joked. "Trying to hide my feelings for you was one of the hardest things I had to do. Especially when I constantly wanted to..." I let my voice slowly fade, deciding not to finish that sentence.

Luke smirked at me. "To what?"

"This." I smashed my lips onto his and felt him kiss back in surprise. I rubbed my hands on his hard stomach, reaching lower.

He pulled back, shifting uncomfortably in his seat, with me still on his lap.

"I got your point," he said wearily, "what a strange pair we are."

I tilted my head to the side, pretending to give it some thought. "Yeah," I agreed, running my fingers through his hair and bringing him close to me, "but I wouldn't have it any other way."

These cheesy endings are making me wanna cry. I promise things will start getting drama-y soon. Stick around!
