The morning after, everything seemed to be back to normal. Connor accepted the fact that bad things do happen to people, what's important is that they were able to get through it. The young guy looked at James and realized how strong he really is. What happened to him five years ago is something Connor doesn't know if he can survive. And knowing that part of his past only made him love James even more.
The two are sitting outside the gazebo when James's mother called them for lunch. "She makes a killer casserole" the young teacher told him as they got up and started walking back to the house.
"Your mothers looks like a great cook"
"Yes she is" James replied and opened the door for him.
As soon as Connor got inside, he saw the long table filled with dishes that James's mother made. The young guy couldn't help but feel hungry already even though he just ate a full meal an hour ago.
"Sit down babe" he heard James whisper and so he did.
Connor looked at his side and saw Mason eating fried chicken , he can't help but smile at the kid since the sauce is smeared up all over his tiny face.
"Mason" he uttered and so he looked. The young McVey just smiled and gave Connor his half eaten chicken leg.
"Mason ... what did I tell you about eating chicken?" James asked his son.
"Don't cover your face with the sauce" he replied with his head down.
"It's alright" the young guy uttered as he placed Mason's chicken on the plate. Connor then brought out his handkerchief and started wiping the sticky sauce off of Mason's face.
"He's adorable" Connor heard James's sister commented and so he looked at her and smiled.
A few minutes after, they started eating.

James couldn't help but admire Connor every now and then. He can already see it, he can see their future together. All they need to pass is the next two years, after that they can finally be who they want to be. No more hiding and most of all, no more pretensions.
"How long have you two been dating?" he heard his Mum ask.
"A few weeks" James replied before feeling Connor's hand reach for his lap.
"Connor's first impression is that you're hot , you do know that right?"
"Yes Mum, that is also something you should not say" James replied. The young teacher then felt Connor's hand rubbing his thigh, he looked at him and saw a slight smirk on his face. "What are you doing?" James asked.
"I'm gonna call Ben"

Later that night, the two sat in front of their porch and looked up at the stars. "Have you ever wondered what it's like to be a star?" James asked Connor.
"I do actually ... how about future?"
"Thinking about the future makes me anxious. I like star gazing though .. it makes me feel calm"
Connor looked at James and saw that right smile on his face. Right there at that moment, he knew there's nowhere else he'd rather be.
"James?"
"What?"
"I heart you"
"I heart you too ... so much"

Brad's busy watching re-runs of "Skins" when he heard the doorbell ringing. As soon as he opened the door he saw Tris. The blonde haired lad looked in distress and so he asked what happened.
"My ... my girlfriend dumped me" Tris replied before hugging Brad as tight as he could.
