"Princess, the King and Queen has requested you."

You nod and smile, thanking the maid. Walking down the hallway, you spot a knight.

"Good day, Princess." The knight bows down to you politely.

You chuckle, "Please, there's no need to bow down. Hello (C/N)." You smile warmly at him.

"Where are you heading to Princess?"

"Please just call me (Y/N). I'm heading to my mother and father."

"Ah, do you perhaps need an escort?"

"If you aren't busy..." You reply back reluctantly.

"I am not. Shall we go?"

You close the doors quietly and see (C/N) leaning against the wall. "You really didn't have to wait for me, but thank you."

"No problem. Why did they request you?"

"Nothing really important. Anyways, I'm going to call it a day today. Thank you again (C/N)." You smile, turning around to head to your room.

He rushes quickly over to you, "I hope you don't mind if I escort you there as well."

"Not at all. Thank you."

Once you reach your room, you immediately went to sleep. Tossing and turning around, you find yourself having a terrible nightmare. You jolt out of bed, screaming.

"PRINCESS!" (C/N) slams open the door, rushing over to you. "ARE YOU OKAY?"

You nod, looking around the room frantically. "I-I just had a nightmare. Someone was in here and tried to kill me. But, I'm okay now. Thank you for coming so quickly."

(C/N) looks around the room, checking to see if there's any intruder. He walks over to the window, locking it. "You don't have to worry anymore. I'll be guarding outside your bedroom door, if that's alright with you."

You blush a bit, nodding slowly. "I-I suppose that's fine. Don't you need your rest?"

"I'll be alright, thank you Princess. Sleep well."
