Not Cute♡

Working on homework like this every day is something you don't mind doing. The serene ambience of the room with the sounds of rapid typing and writing makes - what you call - homeworking not too stressful.

You halt what you're doing and reach down to retrieve a textbook. (C/N) whines and tugs onto your arm. "Why did you stop?" He places your hand into his hair again and gazes up at you with puppy dog eyes and a pout.

"I had to get my textbook to answer these questions," you explain. You proceed running your fingers through his disheveled hair with a small smile as he shuts his eyes and smiles from ear to ear.

A quiet laugh escape your lips. "You're too cute, (C/N)."

His eyes promptly open and he scrunches his nose. "Did you just call me cute...? There's a lot of adjectives you could use, but you had to go for cute!" he says with a hint of annoyance laced in his tone.

You roll your eyes at his response; you aren't surprised by it. Whenever someone calls him cute, he gets all how-dare-you-call-me-cute-you-imbecile! and rants about his strong dislike towards it. You can even envision him writing a five paragraph essay on his pet peeve.

"I'm very sorry for calling you cute. What was I supposed to say? You look handsome?" you question. "Besides, I've called you cute before and you didn't react too negatively towards it. You just had a really red face and started muttering things."

"Well... I guess it's because I don't mind so much whenever it's coming from you..." he murmurs. Your inquisitive gaze meets his now bewildered ones. "Just forget it!"

He wordlessly covers his eyes with his forearm as the typing and writing sounds fill the silence of the room again. Your lips slowly twitch into a small smile.
