"WHAT TIME IS IT?"

"IT'S... CAMPING TIME!" You shout in joy.

"Girls, we'll be leaving in 10 minutes!" (B/F/N)'s mom shouts up the stairs.

"OKAY MOM!"

You rummage through your large backpack, checking to make sure you have everything you needed. "I'm all set! Did you pack some snacks?"

"Some? Pfft.." She takes a grocery bag out of her backpack and opens it.

Your eyes widen at the amount of snacks she brought. Cheetos, Pocky, Pringles, Oreos.. you name it! "Seriously..? A family-sized bag of Sour Cream and Onion chips?"

"Yeah man, I love me my chips~" She grins.

"And this is why I love you." You chuckle, standing up. "Ready to go?"

"YESSSS! WE ARE FINALLY HERE!" (B/F/N) opens the door and rushes out, spreading her arms out. "FRESH AIR!"

You roll your eyes, stepping out of the car. "We weren't in the car for THAT long."

"YES WE WERE. 30 MINUTES! 30 MINUTES I TELL YOU!"

"(Y/N), you and (B/F/N) can go ahead and set up the tents at the campsite with your father." Your mom says while handing you her backpack. "We'll have a barbecue tonight."

As you three are walking to the campsite, something drops out of your backpack. You, however, didn't know.

"Hey! You dropped something!" A familiar male voice shouts, running after you.

You turn around, getting ready to thank the person. Your eyes widen in surprise, "(C/N)..?"

His expression matches yours, "(Y/N)..?"

"OH, HEY (C/N)!" (B/F/N) waves, grinning.

He smiles, "Hey (B/F/N)."

"Oh! Is he your friend girls?" Your dad questions, eyeing (C/N).

Before you could say anything, your best friend replies back "Yes he is! This is (C/N)! He's in our math class and sits next to (Y/N). Cool guy."

"Nice to meet you (C/N)! I'm (Y/N)'s dad! She doesn't cause any trouble, does she?" He holds a hand out and smiles.

"Uh, no sir she doesn't. She's a good student. And nice to meet you too." He shakes your dad's hand and smiles back.

You blush and look down, fumbling with your hands. Your dad notices your discomfort and chuckles, slapping your back. "We'll be going now, see you around kid!"

You breathe a sigh of relief as you three continue walking. "DAD! Really?"

"Sorry sweetheart. He seems like a nice kid though. I approve."

"I approve too!" (B/F/N) chirps in, nudging you.

"Ohhh.. does my little daughter like someone~? Specifically, (C/N)?" Your dad winks, wiggling his eyebrows.

"N-NO!" Your face reddens. "You're starting to sound like her.. let's just set up the tents."

"Food's ready girls!" (B/F/N)'s mom announces, making both you and her rush out of the tent.

You two thank the adults and begin eating. You look around and notice that your dad isn't here. "Hey Mom, where's Dad?"

"He left to invite a family over here. Apparently he met their son this morning and then had a nice chat with the boy's parents at the parking lot. Now they're friends."

"We have company!"

You gasp, looking at your best friend frantically. "You have got to be kidding me.."

Okay.. this is awkward..

For the past few minutes, you kept stealing quick glances at (C/N). You couldn't help yourself, he looks really adorable with his oversized hoodie.

"(Y/N)! Stop staring at him! He seems really flustered!" (B/F/N) whispers, jabbing you in the ribs.

You blink a couple of times, finally noticing his flushed face. You blush, looking down. 'I HATE MYSELF! WHAT THE CHICKEN! HE PROBABLY THINKS I'M A WEIRDO OR SOMETHING OH NO WHAT HAVE I DONE HE PROBABLY HATES ME NOW OH CRAP-"

"(C/N), are you alright?" His mom asks, placing a hand on his forehead. "Your face is really red dear."

"I-I'm fine Mom..!" He looks away, face reddening even more.

"Your face is also really red (Y/N). Feeling sick?" Your dad grins, nudging your mom.

"Oh, stop it! You're embarrassing her!" She slaps his arm, laughing.

You and (C/N) make eye contact as you both smile shyly at each other and look away. You have to admit that this camping trip isn't too bad so far.. considering you get to see (C/N) and his adorable blushing face.
