"Mommy... what are you doing?" I ask her, peering at the close proximity of my parents; it looks odd to me. Why are their faces so close to each other? Why are their lips together like that?

My parents pull away upon being aware of my presence and question. Dad takes a gander at Mom and shrugs. I proceed to gaze up at them with inquisitive eyes, waiting patiently for an answer. "Is it... some kind of new way to greet people?"

"Well... yes, sometimes that's how parents greet each other!" Mom kneels down and ruffles my hair. "Save this for someone you like like. Okay?"

I don't fully understand what she means. I have friends and I really like them. Mom notices my muddled state and laughs. "You'll know what I mean when the time comes!"

"My mom and dad did this... thing yesterday and it looks so weird! You should've seen it!" I share the discovery with my friend.

"What is it?" my friend asks curiously and halts fake pouring her tea. Tea Time is our favorite game to play next to Tag; nothing beats Tag. "Sorry Mr. Teddy! You'll have to wait for your tea, okay?" Her gaze fixates on me fully and she nods, indicating for me to proceed my story.

"Well... their faces and lips were together! Wouldn't that feel weird?"

"My parents do that too! My mom said it's a nice feeling," she hums in thought before proceeding, "maybe it's like when you're eating good food!"

I furrow my eyebrows and open my mouth to comment, but quickly close it. I initially was going to disagree with her, but then I realize that I've never done that... activity before. "Do... do you want to try Lip Mashing?"

She laughs so hard to the point where she falls backwards. My face warms and I avert my gaze to Mr. Teddy. With that huge smile plastered on his face, it seems as if he's laughing at me too. "N-Nevermind... forget I asked..." I mumble.

Feeling sheepish, I busy myself with setting some colorful, flower-printed plates in front of each guest (Mr. Teddy included).

My friend eventually sits back up and wipes a tear from her eye. "I was laughing because you gave the activity a name! I think Mushing is better, but sure! Let's try Lip Mashing!"

"O-Oh! Okay!" I smile timidly. "Where do we start?" My nervous meter suddenly skyrockets and I'm not sure why. But then again, whenever she's close to me or comes in contact with me, I get extremely nervous and end up looking like I just ran a marathon.

She closes her eyes and smiles. "They always close their eyes so I think we start there!"

I scoot closer to her and observe the gentle curve on her face. They're just lips, but for some reason I've always been fascinated with hers. Whenever she smiles, I find myself smiling too. It's strange; I don't know what this interest in her means. I thought of asking Mom or Dad about it, but I feel like they might call me weird or something for having an interest in a girl's lips.

"You're so slow!" She laughs.

I manage a quiet apology before feeling a pair of soft lips against mines. It feels kinda weird... I don't think it's comparable to eating good food. Should I... open my eyes right now? It would be awkward if her eyes are open and we stare at each other.

Yeah, I'll just keep them closed.

Wait... am I suppose to feel my heart beating at a rapid pace? I thought that only happens when you're done with an activity like running for a few minutes. Am I the first kid to discover this fast heart beating with Lip Mashing?

She pulls back and smiles. "That felt really weird! What do you think about it, Mr. Blushy Face? Did you discover something awesome?"

I avert my gaze and poke at my burning cheek. She's always calling me that because I blush so much. I don't hate it or anything; I just get easily embarrassed by it, especially when she calls me that in public. "Stop (Y/N)..."

She simply replies with a cheeky smile.

"A-Anyways... I think I did! It looks like you didn't experience what I did with the Lip Mashing though." I smile timidly and flicker my eyes to the teacup set in front of me.

"What is it? Tell me, tell me (C/N) the awesome discoverer!" She scoots closer, knocking over her plastic teacup. I beam at the new name - one that I concur to completely.

I beckon her to come closer with a wave of a hand. "Mr. Teddy can't hear this! This is the best discovery yet! I think."

(Y/N) leans in closer. Strands of her hair tickles my cheek as I'm attempting to not melt into a puddle. "My heart was beating at a fast pace."

"Like as fast as after running a few laps in gym class?" she utters. I nod, pleased that she shares the same thinking as me. She tugs onto my sleeve in excitement. "You have to make a book about all your discoveries! I'll be the first to buy it!"

Is it possible to like someone even more than you already do? Because I think I like like like her.
