A Taste Of Sweetness♡

The aroma of freshly baked goods fill your nostrils. Buttery and flaky pastries are neatly arranged in the glass case with other scrumptious looking confections.

The cafe itself is simple-looking, but the simplicity is what you like about it. Hanging plants and canvases that consist of inspirational quotes adorn the burgundy red ochre wall. Umber brown chairs and tables are set on a chestnut brown wood floor. Overall, the cafe looks toasty and welcoming.

All around you are beaming faces; the cafe seems to be a lively place. Treading towards the counter, your eyes scan the menu. From cinnamon rolls to brownies, you can tell why this cafe is so popular; it's an exuberant place with delectable looking treats.

"Hello! You're new here, yeah?"

Your eyes snap up to the booming voice. "Yes, I am." You shyly smile at the (C/H/C)-haired male. His eyes are shining with curiosity and excitement.

"Welcome to my cafe! I recognize every customer who walk through here, so I figured you're new. My name's (C/N)! You are?"

"(Y/N)," you respond in a soft voice.

He laughs heartily, a glimmer of amusement in his eyes. "Not much of a talker I take it. What would you like for today?"

Scanning the options in the glass case, you chew on your bottom lip reflectively. Everything looks so delectable; you want to order every single confection here. You're in between four cakes which are Chocoholic Cake, Vanilla Bean Delight, Matcha Madness, and So Berrylicous.

Staring at your furrowed brows and biting lip, his lips tug into a lopsided grin. "Conflicted? All four cakes are new. Whatever you decide on, you won't be disappointed. They're divine."

"(Your Choice)," you say after much thinking, sliding the money towards him.

"Excellent choice," he says as he heads into the kitchen. "Find a comfortable seat, I'll be there!"

You simply nod and murmur a, "Thank you." The cafe sure is crowded, but luckily there's an empty table in the corner. Weaving through the tables, you nestle into your seat.

Within a minute or so, the male approaches you with a plate of cake. He sets the plate down, followed with a napkin and fork. "Enjoy, (Y/N)!" he shouts from over his shoulder.

The first bite is delightful. Every bite is packed with rich flavors. The cake is, - to simply put it - divine and flavorful. You're planning on coming here again next weekend.

Every weekend gradually turn to every day. Of course, you didn't order a dessert each day; some days you just sit and indulge yourself in a book. Most days you interact with the cafe owner himself, (C/N).

"Want to check out the kitchen?" the jubilant male inquires; his eyes are shining with excitement. You simply nod and follow the owner, curiosity surging inside of you.

The kitchen consists of pearly white counters with matching shelves. There are a wide array of ingredients on the shelves, however what caught your eyes are the confections on the counter. "New recipe you're working on?" you mumble as he nods in response.

Nudging you with a wink, he asks, "Care to be my test taster?"

Promptly, you accept without hesitation. "Can't turn down such a wonderful offer."

(C/N) gestures toward a pastel green macaron. "Guess the flavor."

Chewing thoughtfully on the macaron, you are able to distinguish matcha and raspberry. "Raspberry is the filling and matcha is the shell itself?"

"I wouldn't mind hiring you!" He grins and flicks your nose playfully. You blush profusely from the sudden contact; he notices and laughs lightly.

Attempting to end the awkwardness, (C/N) gently elbows you and cheekily smiles. "Onto the next one?"

Updates will be slow. Currently spending time with my mother and we've been going out a lot so finding a time to update has been difficult. Will return back home on August 9th I believe so that's when updates won't be very slow.
